Came here after a day at Cisco Beach and WOW was I blown away by their lobster roll!
Located on Hummock Pond rd. We came on bikes. Very close to Cisco Brewery and on the way to or from the beach. This is a must-stop.
We got two lobster rolls (which come with chips and a pickle) and to drink a sun tea!
I was BLOWN away by these lobster rolls. I’m a bit of a lobster roll enthusiast. This was the best cold lobster I’ve had outside of Maine. They have a slight twist in the classic. Hardy amount of lobster, perfectly cooked, and lightly dressed and topped with chive. I think they drizzle them in a lemon butter too. The bun was outstanding, buttered and then salted, the extra salt is a nice touch. Drooling writing this review and remembering how good they were. They were that good!
We also got “Hannah’s homemade sun tea”, sweet and refreshing.
They also have ceviche, guac, and other things on the menu that looked great and I can’t wait to try.
Staff was friendly and welcoming. They have outside seating with umbrellas for shade. The parking lot gets packed though so come on a bike if you can.
A+ 167 Raw, can’t wait...
Read moreI’ve been everywhere in the world. Before Nantucket, the best Lobster Roll I ever had was at an extremely tony club on the harbor in Camden, with a friend whose family extended to a vast estate on the water in Dark Harbor. Yeah, the old money lobster roll was pretty much an American Icon, no denying it. Wayyy better than any of the trendy NYC places, Lukes, or whatever. They’re all too butter-soaked, too much claw meat, or mayo, bad roll, overcooked, soggy… every time there is something just off.
Not at 167. PERFECT. The #1 I have ever had, blows even Maine away!! Perfectly-cooked lobster meat an the right amount (copious but not obvious). The right bun, lightly toasted golden, with just a hint of butter. A perfect lemony mayo and just enough to moisten the seafood. Oh, man!! What a roll!! I had it last year, and had to test it again…even better this time (secret:I let one sit in the fridge over night to settle. It was outrageously good the next day for lunch cold!!)
All the other rolls on Nantucket bow before the King!! 167. King...
Read moreOne of my two favorite places on the Island to buy fresh seafood, but they also have a small but well chosen selection of good wine, as well as steaks, gourmet snacks and sauces. Also good cheeses, even wood chunks for the grill. This place is a roadside treasure. And their fabulous food truck is back in the parking lot: one of the best places for quick bites on the Island. Delicious halibut ceviche, amazing grilled swordfish tacos, and an outstanding tuna burger are all great to grab and eat in 167’s cute side garden at picnic tables, or take to go. You can even buy cans of fairly decent Rosé inside the shop to drink on the spot in the garden,...
