Crosswinds Restaurant — Restaurant in Nantucket

We entered through the entrance facing the parking lot and were met with a sign that said something along the lines of “Please wait to be seated at the terminal entrance.” I complied and made my way through the restaurant to the terminal entrance, where I found another sign with the same instruction: “Please wait to be seated.” So I waited.

On my way there, I passed a server who was just coming out of the restroom. I stood by the sign for several minutes while multiple employees walked past without acknowledging me. I understand people are busy, so I gave it more time. A few more minutes passed, and the same server I’d seen earlier stood at the end of the bar, looking in our direction. After about 10 minutes of waiting and still no acknowledgment—even with several open tables—we finally approached him. We politely explained the situation and asked to be seated. He shrugged and led us to a table, brought menus, and took our drink order.

From there, service was fair but not much better. The food arrived hot, but we had to flag our server down after 30 minutes just to request a drink refill. We also had to wave him down again to get the bill when we were done dining and ready to leave.

The only reason I’ll consider returning is due to the restaurant’s convenience. I’m hoping for a better service...

I will give 4 stars over all Breakfast is aways nice. Morning staff is great. The last 2 times we went for dinner and i personally had worse experience ever . Place was overcrowded with people picking up food, ordering, same moment there was no one to sit us. Waitresses running around serving clients and playing cashiers. They told us to sit wherever we like ... no covid percussions at all. We choose table running Waitresse come get out order. We was hungry so we order drinks and food same moment. Here she is coming again 15 min later with out cold appetizers and still no drinks. Same moment she serving drinks to people cross the room who just sit ... was one big mess ... We had to ask where are our drinks 2 times. Dinner was Ok Nothing special. We went to a BBQ ribs night - we got different sides that we did not expect (menu say one you got something else) ... sides was really bad on taste ribs was great. I am definitely not coming back for dinner. I still will keep the 4 stars and all because we aways have great Breakfast and service in AM even if they...

had to make a connection at New York Nantucket Airport to Hyannis, so I spent a few hours there. What a relief to have this restaurant located inside the airport, making my layover much more comfortable and pleasant. The place is cute. I was attended by Helena, who is originally from Macedonia, and she was wonderful. Super friendly, willing, helped me a lot, super attentive to everything I needed, and made wonderful suggestions. I ordered their Special CFC crosswinds fried chicken, which was crispy and juicy, and the mountain lava cake, which was deliciously perfect. If I go through this airport again, I will definitely eat here, I don't even need to look for restaurants in Nantucket. Helena was wonderful and even helped me by lending me a cell phone charger. She definitely did her job beyond what was asked. Thank you...
