Monticello Deli & Market — Restaurant in Napa Valley AVA

Parking is tight, but the community knows how to work around it. This is a main spot for vineyard and construction workers. I love to see all the hardworking men enjoying a break, a meal, a beer and some company after a hard days work. The staff are friendly and familiar, the very smiley lady who makes my sandwich has such a warmth about her and always remembers how I like it. They make a realllly generous (and speedy) BLT. Their order, pay, eat system seems to work very efficiently. A surprisingly good country deli with fresh food such as BLT sandwiches made to order, fruit yogurt parfaits made on site, fresh garden salads, and burritos. But they mop the floors throughout the day with chlorine, which doesn't appeal to the senses--hint, hint! I'll be honest, I still miss the old deli and owners, but that's neither here nor there. The current owners have done a really good job of focusing their efforts on specific areas. I think it gives the place a much sparser feel, but the sandwiches are still spot on. Also, their tacos are an absolute must! The counter associates seem to have lost a little in the way of customer service and friendliness, but they still do okay. Overall the food here is a sold four stars, borderline five.
