Oh boy. The kids run the daycare!
Today, I had one of the most displeasurable dining experiences in my life at this market. If you can even call it dining. The setup is simple: you place an order, pick it up, and either eat there or take it to go. I ordered a mushroom pizza and after waiting 35 minutes, I asked the staff about my order. I was told my pizza had been flipped inside the oven and I would need to wait another "5 minutes" for a replacement.
However, I ended up waiting an additional 35 minutes before the pizza finally arrived. 70 minutes total. My pizza was in a stack of other pizzas, and given the situation I should have been given my pizza first after such a long wait. But the cook did not make the connection or even think to offer better customer service at this point. Furthermore, the so-called pizza chef was visibly upset that I was unhappy, but I explained that better communication could have alleviated the situation. At no point was I informed about the delay or the issue with my pizza; I had to be proactive in asking. Waiting 70 minutes for a pizza, which was not very tasty, is unacceptable.
Unfortunately, this is the only dining option available on the premises that isn't expensive. Someone seriously needs to address these issues. There were other patrons who asked me about my experience who had been waiting for their Pizza as well. The staff takes an excessively long time to make pizzas that are subpar at best. I will be opting for...
Read moreI had an unfortunate experience at Silverado Market & Bakery due to the attitude of the lady at the cash register. My wife, who is on disability, was treated with rudeness, indifference, and what seemed like a lack of empathy. The cashier's demeanor came across as dismissive and, at times, even disrespectful, which is unacceptable in a customer service role.
It's disheartening to encounter such behavior, especially in a place that should prioritize making every customer feel welcome and valued. Customer service plays a crucial role in any establishment, and I strongly recommend better training to ensure that all staff treat guests with kindness, respect, and professionalism. Unfortunately, this experience overshadowed our visit, and I hope the management takes steps to address...
Read moreOn-site food and beverage reviews are probably moot on a resort that's a solid ten-minute drive from other stores, but here goes. Wide selection of food, drink, and gifts at very high prices (I assume so they don't compete with the room service and restaurants). Some selections from Bouchon Bakery, which is a nice touch. Some fun (non-Bouchon) pastries like Monkey Bread, good sandwiches including Italian, roast beef, etc. A well-chosen few dozen wine selections, mostly localish, but at $10-15 a bottle over regular retail. Good cheese selection but again pricey even for Napa. Sunny outdoor seating area with a lovely view of the main building and hills but pretty loud music playing even at 8 in...
