Impeccable service!! I came here last night for restaurant week, and I had come from another restaurant whose poor service manners drove me away from spending a penny there. Upon entering, one of the two bartenders acknowledged me and directed me to the host station. The host was very sweet and hospitable, gave me options to choose where to sit as it was not too busy. My server Cameron was so professional and attentive, I am very grateful for how well he treated me as a customer. The chefs in the kitchen have really done a brilliant job with the flavors of their dishes for restaurant week. The Roasted Pear Panzanella was so good, it took me 30 minutes almost to eat because I had to savor every bite. The sweetness of the candied hazelnut, the tart flavor from the sherry vinaigrette, the creaminess of the Humboldt Fog cheese: Divine. My main course of the chicken with baby artichoke on a bed of polenta? Beyond words. The chicken melted off the bone like butter, the polenta was exploding with flavor. I was disappointed to hear the dessert that made come here in the first place was out (I love a good carrot cake), but I chose the Raspberry Chocolate Torte as a replacement and I can say it was probably better than my expectations were for the carrot cake. The best part, they have a wonderful sunrise mocktail (I do not drink) so I was able to order a non-alcoholic beverage without feeling like I'm missing out. I cannot rave enough about how exquisite this experience was, thank you so much for an amazing...

Father's Day morning my girlfriends and I decided on one final bonding moment before leaving the Silverado Resort to go our different ways home. We stopped in The Grill to have a Bloody Mary at the bar, and were tempted to stay for the delicious buffet next to us, but really just wanted to get on the roads to our homes, husbands, and fathers.
Perhaps Courtney was mad we were at her table and not ordering food? We ordered our drinks, and a few waters as well. Noticing that my water glass was caked with dried crusty something on the inside (perhaps old strawberry daiquiri or something similar?) I brought it to the bar and asked if I could have a clean glass. She literally said nothing to me. She took the glass and brought another one to the table. No apology: "I'm so sorry about that" or "let me get you a fresh glass, just a moment". NOTHING. It wasn't a little bit of disgusting old drink, it was a lot. I wasn't being an overly needy customer, this glass was filthy and she served me water in it. I don't know whose job it is to clean the dishes, but I do know whose job it is to serve drinks in them politely, and someone wasn't doing her job that day.
Kind of sad to end such an amazing weekend on that note since service everywhere else had been great for the previous 48 hours, but we finished our Bloody Marys (and my fresh glass of water) and...
Read moreSuper busy, fun spot..especially during golf or other events. Had a burger from the overwhelmed bar, which was basically a burger tartare and at most, saw about 3 seconds of heat as it passed from the burger stash in the fridge, to a hand that placed it in between the buns. The only logical explanation for this was that the hand placing it into the bun belonged to someone with red color blindness. Having said that, the initial bite or two that were taken before we noticed, were dang tasty.
I'm happy to report that nobody was sick following any part of that experience, so, I applaud the meat handling, sourcing and sanitization portion of the back of the house experience. I take issue with either the bar tender who placed the order or the color blind kitchen staff who didn't use a thermometer to double check that the order was to medium specification, and to ensure a medium burger was delivered.
Not wanting to be any later to the show or to deal with the bar crowd just to address the concern with the burger, we opted to treat our potential condition with any parasites or bacteria in the old fashioned way, through copious...
