Thank you Yen Ching for being a part of our local community!
I am so grateful for this small family owned Chinese food establishment. They have saved me many times when I didn't have food on the table during busy days and nights. And through the pandemic they have become a regular staple.
The many different dishes on the menu are delicious and consistent, and the portions are generous. It is so close to home yet the high quality, large portions, and fair prices rival many of the Chinese restaurants that are further away.
My family's favorites are the Lo Mein, Sesame Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Egg Foo Young, and BBQ Pork Fried Rice.
They always answer their phones and the food is promptly ready when it's promised. The lady in front is so sweet and patient even when she has multiple orders to manage at the same time.
The owners early on had taken steps to ensure that their business is sanitized and they have installed plastic shield guards.
If you are in the mood for some good wholesome Chinese food, why leave the neighborhood? Yen Ching delivers a quality meal that always...
Read moreThis place is our "go to" Chinese takeout. Stan is very courteous when taking orders over the phone, and always tells you the total amount, so there is no surprise when you show up to get your order. the food is prepared consistently and is always very good. There was one "deviation" from that over a year ago when a new hire oversalted (or too heavily smothered in soy sauce) a mooshu order. I called Stan (the owner, I believe) and mentioned it. He apologized, noting that he either had a substitute or a new employee (don't remember which), and indicated that won't happen again, and he would provide one entree complimentary. I told him that wouldn't be necessary, but he insisted. It was probably several months later when we next decided to order in from Yen Ching, and I had totally forgotten about the previous "incident". When I went to pickup the order he rang it up and then told me that we have a credit coming on the first entree (which I think was the pricier one). What a pleasant surprise! He is sooooooo honest and wants to do right by...
Read moreNew Owners (late may-2022). Horrible!!! W/higher prices. They have NO idea how to cook, flavor or prep. Chinese food.
Vegetables were all soft & mushy because they were so overcooked. Celery was cut randomly in three inch lengths. Broccoli was all trees it was so large. Shrimp Fried Rice had micro shrimp and bad oil for its only flavor. Steamed Broccoli was like baby food and fell off the fork it was so soft. Wrong batter used for Orange/General Tao’s Chicken and flavorless. Kung Pao Chicken didn’t include peanuts or brown sauce, instead they used chili oil and sugar as the only flavor w/mushrooms, mini corn, broccoli trees and long stocks of celery…. So nasty tasting we had to just toss it in the trash. In fact it all went in the trash because it wall all soooo bad. I’m angry that the past owners did this to their loyal customers. They sold the name, phone number and client list to the new owners. I truly feel my $65 was stolen from me by con men in an alley...
