Tried this place a couple times.
Fried chicken, breast was dry and chicken leg fried to death
Hamburger steak is made with mushroom gravy which I hate.
Philly sandwich and fries. Meat had no flavor was dry and Tough tough tough .... frozen fries were soggy and undercooked.
The only thing I ever liked from here was the meatloaf and hot water cornbread when the other people owned it.
I think I’m done trying this place out 3 meals out of 4 is bad.
Nice people tho Cute little place Too bad the food isn’t better.
Just a little update After the owners reply basically calling me a liar. I won’t go back and would never recommend to a friend after being treated like I was a liar.
I did say something My food was replaced with more food that was equally bad. Changing my 2 start to a 1 for how the owner responded.
Dear owner. You were not there I know what food I received and I know what I was told by your employee that yes the hamburger steak was covered in mushroom gravy. On another order The chicken leg was cooked just as long as the breast and was so burnt it was inedible. So before you try to make me out to be a liar, how about your talk to your employees about how to cook food correctly and stop trying to cover it up by attacking paying customers to make yourself...
Read moreThis was our first time eating at The Pully Bone. I was in my map program searching for a nearby restaurant before we went back home to Rosston and liked the interesting name. We both had the daily special, which on Monday is meatloaf with two sides and a bread for $10.99. The meatloaf was good (not great) but the rest was outstanding! My carrots were as sweet as sweet potatoes. The mashed potatoes definitely were real and not out of a box. My wife said her green beans were excellent. The owner and head cook came out and chatted with us for a while, he actually wanted to know what we thought of the meatloaf saying it was a new recipe. His wife bakes all the desserts except the cream pies, which he prepares. I had the Keylime pie, yum! I would have gladly eaten a whole pie! My wife said her hot peach cobbler was to die for. The owner said he'd put their chicken-fried steak up against anyone's. I think we'll have to check that out next time we're in Texarkana. We will definitely be back. They offer dine in, patio dining, takeout and drive-thru. They also gave me a...
Read moreWe had breakfast...and it was filling. The menu is moderately priced and you definitely get your money's worth. There were several of us and our food came out pretty fast and hot. There are inside and outside dining options. I don't recall seeing anyone outside...ever. it's small, local, home-cooking. If that's what you want, then this is the place to go. It reminds me of eating at Grandmother's house for breakfast. If you get up from the table and you aren't full, you probably didn't order the correct meal. I swear that the biscuits and gravy are enough for two. My friends commented that the French toast was enough for two or more. I only wish I had taken pictures! I've only eaten breakfast here, a couple of times. Each time was worth it. If you haven't already eaten here, stop in. I doubt that you will be...
