Kingston Jamaica Foods — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

My experience as a wasnt bad in whole. When we arrived we were greeted and served right away. When looking at the menu no prices were listed for the food at all. When we were finished ordering we were charged $80 for 4 plates. Which seemed scary so before leaving I wanted to check the quality and I’m glad I did as bottled Carolina bbq sauce was placed on our jerk chicken without warning. I’m not sure about anyone else but I don’t go to a Jamaican restaurant for bbq chicken. I returned to the truck for jerk sauce. When arriving home I was hoping to find out why the price point was so high, I was sadly disappointed. I had 3 oxtails that mainly consisted of fat. I can say it was tender as they fell off the bone. The chicken was dry and that bbq sauce couldn’t be covered up even after placing the jerk on top of it. The most enjoyable part of the whole meal was the rice and peas. Was having a blissful day until I came here.. He offered sauce and I said I'd try your mild. Had I not opened my plate I'd had a rude awakening soon. This man puts all this sauce on my salmon, mind you I said I'll try a little. We're going back and forth so I'm embarrassed at this point. He then gives me the salmon as I ordered and charged me for his mistake. I still had to ask for Togo cup of sauce and utensils which he said was already in the bag and wasn't. I get to my car after all this and felt the need to check my other plate. The portion of rice and beans was comical and I should've asked for a refund but I hadn't eaten all day so I cut my losses. I've been going here for years and the way I was treated today, I may not return! This interaction actually hurt my feelings bc it was one...

I passed by couple days and wanted to stop by after I finish work. I decided today to stop by and eat though I live in very south of nolensville I got here at 6:30 on a Sunday and welp 😢 the guy said they were closed and finished. I was bummed but after I told him this is my first time here and took me 30 minute to get here he opened up the grill and found a piece of salmon that is still cooking and he was like do you want salmon? Of course, I said.

Guess what? He gave me this awesome grilled salmon with rice and amazing spicy sauce FREE OF CHARGE. I didn’t expect it but definitely coming back here for other meats such as ox tail and steaks etc….
