I had a bad experience there the waiter i had act like i did not belong their and did not care about straighten out my order he took my plate that i had not eaten out of and told me to have a good day i asked for a manager he did get one i was sitting outside on the dock he never came back to ask if i wanted anything else or what did he need to do to fix my order. Another waitress was helping someone else i asked her if i could speak with manager she went to get the manager he was supposedly on the phone so they sent out a lead Ms Shelby who i spoke with Ms Shelby apologized and ask what could she do to make it right she went in and made the salad herself the manager still never came to speak with me i was there for a hour but Ms Shelby came back to check on me .Ms Shelby seemed more like the manager. Ms Pam should make Ms Shelby the manager.I ask for the check Ms Shelby stated i did not have to pay i told her i wanted to pay i did not want anything free i justed wanted it right.Ms Shelby still insisted that i did not have to pay so i gave her the money for the salad for a tip. You are suppose to make your customers happy no matter what the color of their skins is .The money is going to always be green even if the hand that is giving it to you is black or brown.I felt that the young man treated me like i was not suppose to be there i was the only person of color there. My money spends like the next person it does not matter that it is at a boat club i still can pay for what i was getting like the next person.If the the young man has a problem with people of color he does not need to be a waiter people of color will come in from time to time.Ms Pam you have a great leader in Shelby. We had a fantastic time at Ship Wreck Cove , great! food and drinks! However, I accidentally spilt my drink while trying to kill a spider coming down from an outside light.( Not the first time whatsoever but we were outside so expected !) However, when I asked for a new beverage(that I’d pay for), even when the server saw and the whole table saw it spill because of a Spider, the manager had the bartender not serve us and told my friend we were cut off when she went to refill my drink that had spilt (my third of the night ). The entire night we were having a great time and chatting with a group of new people . No issues had been had to cause for us to be cut off and she said we were cut off because she saw us with “her Boyfriend , when his friend was buying us drinks and he moved across the table when we sat down” As it turns out the bartender/manager who refused me and my friend a refill for the drink that was spilled , was dating one of the men at our table. Whom was 3 seats away from either of us and thus decided to cut us off for that reason. Even thought he moved across the table as we sat down and they invited us over. I would love to know how we can resolve this before uploading reviews and sending reports because I have been coming here every year for MULTIPLE years and met the Owner when you were off season and closed and he made my friend and I a Smash burger to test out the new recipe. I don’t even know where to start. A dear friend of ours was playing in the band at shipwrecked cove tonight and we made the 45 min trek in terrible thunderstorms to support him. Once there...the weather worsened and we waited until it died down for another 20 min, committed to supporting a loved one. When it finally stopped raining..we went down to find that there was a line of 3 people out front and a wait...despite the terrible weather and the obvious view through the door that they were not at capacity. Okay, fine. We will brave the elements without shelter on this metal landing until there is space. The lightning started back up and so I decided to get my kids out of there and asked if I could simply say Hi to our friend so that he knew we came. The door lady was so rude. Unreasonably so. Zero chance, she said. I promise I’ll just wave so he knows I took the 1.5 hours to get there and she escalated. It was embarrassing and horrible.
