So, I had the pleasure of being invited to a fairly new local Mexican restaurant in Bellevue, to which I almost declined. I'm now glad that I accepted the invitation. Tito's, was a new experience for me as far as Mexican dining goes. I love Mexican food, but this took me to a whole new level. Upon arriving at around 9:30 p.m. and as I am walking in the door there was something about the atmosphere that made it very pleasant for me. It is a very relaxed and soothing atmosphere. I love fajitas, so being me, I ordered the fajitas Texana, and a glass of unsweet tea. My friend orders and enchilada, which was also good. and a mixed drink, not sure what the drink was, but I did sample it after seeing it. It was sort of like a margarita but had a small bottle of Reunite Lambrusco turned upside down so the neck of the bottle was actually in the drink. Superb! Now I rarely take a anymore. Maybe once or twice a year, maybe, but I could get to liking those, real fast! Back to the fajita Texana, popping hot sizzling on the cast iron plate that it was served on and before my first bite I realized, hey! I forgot to order my jalapeno peppers! So I asked the waitress do you have fresh whole jalapeno peppers? Yes she replied. So I ask, can I get about three or four of those jalapenos freshly grilled? Of course I was told. Now most Mexican restaurants when you order fresh whole grilled jalapeno peppers they bring you fresh grilled (whole) jalapeno peppers. These surprised me some. As they set them on the table, they have been perfectly sliced and look like French cut green beans, now I was surprised when I bit into these and I take big bites. These jalapenos were seared and seasoned to perfection! If you're a jalapeno fanatic like I am, you'll be missing out, if you do not order these for yourself! I can't stress that enough. Again back to the fajita Texana. The Texana is made with chicken, beef, shrimp, onions, green peppers, and so on, seasoned to perfection. And if I have to be brutally honest and critique one small item, it would be the beef may have been just a very minut amount dry, however, coming in at closing time considering the flavor there's no reason to complain about anything. The service was phenomenal, five stars. The friendly staff was outstanding, five stars. The cleanliness of the establishment was above and beyond, five stars. Now, as I sat there eating my dinner, as we were the only diners left in the place by this time, I could not help but notice how busy the staff was, working while we were dining. I have never been a patron to any establishment that went as above and beyond in cleanliness as I have witnessed in this place. I watched in amazement as they cleaned from top to bottom, (away from us of course!) and I literally mean from the ceiling to the floor. They cleaned it not only the tops and bottoms of tables, chairs and booths, I watched an amazement as another guy swept the ceiling as he went. Now I asked you, how many places do that? So another five stars, Tito's. So congratulations Tito's you get a resounding five stars Plus! If I could go 10 Stars I would. If you live in Bellevue and you have not experienced the wonderful Cuisine and Atmosphere and Friendly staff of Tito's, you're losing out. May the god of Abraham bless you and I...
Read moreI’ve been 3 times with varying degrees of satisfaction.
The first time I went the waitress ignored us at the beginning, however after about 20 minutes the manager came over and apologized then took our order. The waiter was still very distant for the rest of the experience, but the food was good and so was the environment.
The second time everything was fine and we had a good experience.
After having a redeeming second experience we visited again today. The waiter was admittedly very nice and polite, no issues there. The service was also fast. I ordered the vegetarian fajitas off the vegetarian section of the menu. I wasn’t feeling too hungry so I ended up taking about 70% of the vegetables and rice home in a Togo box. Upon revisiting my meal tonight, I noticed an odd sensation when eating. I checked and out found one bite size chunk of overcooked meat, and a few little crumbles. I have been a vegetarian for around 10 years, so I’m not sure which type of meat. This was very jarring, and I do not plan on returning.
Overall staff are hit or miss, and the environment is nice. However, finding meat in food ordered off the vegetarian menu crossed the...
Read moreTypically we have a good visit when we come to Tito's however, our last visit was a little bit of a disappointment. When our food came out we had only received part of our order and our waiter passed by our table at least six times and still hadn't stopped to check on us to make sure we had everything. I tried several times to get his attention but he just never came back to our table. Neither me nor my husband had received our tortillas and my husband never received his order of habanero sauce. We quietly finished our meal shortly before a manager stopped by to check on us as she had been doing with other tables. We explained our dissatisfaction to the manager when she stopped by to check on us and although we do appreciate that she gave us a discount on our ticket, we were still left wondering why our waiter never came back to our table - not even to refill drinks. We promised the manager we would give Tito's another shot (after all the food was hot and delicious). I understand that everybody is short-handed but that's never an excuse for poor...
