Went in here and ordered a single burger and fries. Paid my $12. The place is about half full. They were apparently short staffed as the two servers were running around crazily while the other 3 just leisurely went about things 30 min. later, my food hasn't even hit the grill. While I'm waiting, there is like 6 orders made next to me. After they're cooked. Just sat there 4 like 15 min. I counted 5 flies that sampled every plate. I honestly wondered how they could have earned the 92 sanitation rating. I realized getting my $12 back wouldn't be worth the 10 min I would have had to wait and walked out. A simple "We're short staffed and it will take awhile" would have solved everything, but even that small courtesy couldn't be provided. Save your time and money. I'm confident I could have ordered from the Chinese place next door, got my food and drove home before they even started cooking my fly-burger. If I had known I could leave a photo here I would have taken one of the fly covered...
Read moreThis was our first trip.to Hwy 55. We are new to North Carolina and we don't have have these up north. At first blush, this to me was "poor mans" Johnny Rockets. The place we went to the Nashville location. It was a store front in a strip mall. The interior was quaint. It tried to capture the malt shop feel of the 50s. It did well. Service was super. I got a burger and the wife got a chicken cheesesteak. I got tots, she got rings. We were both very happy with the flavors and the portion size. I got a bacon, BBQ cheeseburger. The BBQ sauce was tangy but not overpowering. It was topped additionally with chili, onions and an onion ring. Both burger and tots were well seasoned. Tots we not oversalted. Very good. The wife enjoyed her chicken Philly. I tried an onion ring. Flavorful and well drained. We went for lunch. We were pleasantly full. Any larger portion would mean take home or overeating. Food was out quickly. Not fast food fast but fast enough. The whole experience made for a...
Read moreOrdered cheesesteak and fries. It only looked like half the meat I normally get. Granddaughter had chicken tenders, which tasted like they were cooked in burnt grease.I went to pay the bill after I had asked the waitress, Amber, to remove the tenders. They were still on the bill, I asked her to remove them again. Amber got an attitude and started snatching things around. When I let her know I knew the previous manager she calmed down quickly. People like her should not be in customer service. The servers there are not very attentive to their customers. I have been there several times and they seem to rather stand around and talk to each other instead of doing their job. People take care of your customers. I normally leave a tip but no one deserved one today. This happened in Nashville. I will definitely take my business to Rocky Mount from now on. The crew there is much more attentive and hard working. Above all they are polite...
