Puerta Del Sol — Restaurant in Nashville

Went okay at first.. had a mix up with an order. I ordered a kids meal: taco with rice and beans & add an additional side taco. So two tacos total.. Food comes out, only got the two tacos. Server offered to fix it, I apologized said maybe I hadn’t said it clearly.. my son said he was good without it. No big deal, so we moved on.. My husbands food came out later than everyone else’s, & by this time I’m almost done with my taco & I realize there’s a hair on my enchilada. I immediately lost my appetite & stopped eating. My let my husband know (he had yet to even start eating) & we sat the plate to the side of the table. He also saw it & lost his appetite, didn’t touch his food at ALL. We waited for our server to come back & check back on us- never did. Even with kids. No offer of extra napkins (we have a 4yr, 6yr,& 10 yr old), no one asked if everything tasted okay or if we needed anything…. Eventually after we realized she wasn’t coming back to our table, I took the kids out to the car to wait while my husband went up to the front where the server was working the cash register. He let the server know what happened with my food & that he had also lost his appetite & didn’t even take a single bite of meal. She basically said it could’ve been from one of my kids… Sorry but my kids hair doesn’t look like pubic hair !! She said she couldn’t take my husbands meal off because there wasn’t a hair in it….. honestly we left grossed out & still hungry. Still tipped 20% & probably shouldn’t have… Everyone has their off days but this situation could’ve been way better, zero...

Amazing food! The service is second to none. The restaurant is always clean with great interior and exterior design. This is a great place for families and friends to gather. The whole experience from start to finish is great and the servers and staff are always so friendly and kind. The food prices are very good for the portion size. Always a great spot to get great quality food; we often try the different menu options and no matter what we get, we end up liking it. Puerta del Sol, we'll certainly be back with family and friends!...

First time we ate there. I don’t know what you other people that gave this 5 stars we’re eating, but that’s not what we had.This is not Mexican food! It was horrible. No taste at all. It should have a lot of spice and flavor but it has nothing. No good sauces hardly any cheese. It was sad. The waitress was very nice but never came back after she served us our food.
