We were seated by a VERY young girl (probably 8 or 9 years old) who also took our drink orders (spilling on the walk to our table), delivered chips and salsa, and even took payment after we ate. The waitress (owner?) sat at a nearby table on her phone not even giving us a second glance. The girl sat a few more people before the waitress got up to take our order. There were highchairs stacked up in front of the bathrooms, making it handicap inaccessible. I totally understand that this is a small town family place with not very many staff, so I dont mind being waited on by a child and I dont use a wheelchair so getting to the bathroom didn't pose a problem for me, but this all seems quite illegal. Child labor? No handicap bathroom? The child didnt serve alcohol but she spent time behind the bar where there was alcohol being served. This just doesnt seem right. Plus side, the place was very clean and the food was hot and made correctly. Decent food. They just probably need to hire more staff and rearrange some corners to make the place a bit more kosher with the law. Also, whoever the adult staff is attending to customers in the dining room should probably be more attentive and on their phone less, it's just common courtesy and decent...
Read moreWas pleasantly greeted, but wasn’t asked for refills on soda. Was quite busy around closing time, so not a big deal. Ordered 2 entrees Togo, and wasn’t given any lettuce, and was missing my sour cream I specifically asked for. Also wasn’t given napkins or silverware either which wasn’t helpful. You’d also expect that they’d ask for chips/salsa since those meals were for two other people that didn’t dine with myself / my mother this evening. Again- not a big deal, just not the way I would have treated or handled a Togo order; especially considering I’ve worked in the restaurant/hospitality industry hands on, for over 5 years. Within those five years, I did exactly what these servers / bartenders did by myself. Just my two cents, definitely a positive experience but your staff lacks in their receptiveness, (as in they can’t hear me/don’t pay full attention) and well as overall courteousness when interacting with guests. They need to be asking specific questions to make the dining and Togo experience, over the top. You should always exceed standards and expectations when in dining. Simply by settling or just being “standard” or “okay” you won’t stamp an imprint in your customers overall experience and won’t make them...
Read moreBeing that I get car sick, the first thing I did was get to the bathroom. I must say I was surprised they had a baby changing table. The room was clean and well lit, however I think it is unacceptable to have a cabinet full of your personal belongings inside. Children's underwear? Random shirts and shorts? Anti-dandruff shampoo? These are things I don't want to see in a restaurant bathroom...
Before ordering I asked the girl what lettuce was used in the salads and her response was "I don't know, it just comes in a bag" but being that nothing else sounded good I ordered their steak salad.
I am amazed that a salad would be the last thing to come to our table, 5 minutes after everyone else got their food. My steak was ice cold and hard like jerky, and I had more cheese than lettuce, so much for having a salad. If I wanted a plate of cheesy meat I would've ordered one. Needless to say I am not impressed, nor do I ever want to...
