We had put in a pretty busy day touring and were both very hungry. When touring, we like to avoid fast food joints. A look at the map disclosed an icon for the Lockport Brewery and a quick look at Google Maps showed a casual menu with interesting offerings. Directions to the brewery were easy to follow and signage was clear. There was plenty of parking in front of the building. The interior was modern with a large counter are and numerous tables. We rolled in about 4pm and were immediately seated. Our server welcomed us warmly and introduced us to the location. The area was small enough that we kept a running conversation with the bartender as well as the server. My beer-drinking days are mostly behind me but it was a sunny spring day and I thought a cold one would taste good. We quickly went through the menu and selected beers and a large soft pretzel to start, with sandwiches to follow. I selected a Munich Dunkel and Mary chose an Irish Red. Both were excellent. Perfectly chilled, but not icy cold, both had great taste and body. Our sandwiches, a Cubano for me and a Grilled Cheese with tomato soup for Mary, arrived. My Cubano had a generous portion of spiced French fries that tasted great and held their crisp through the meal. My only disappointment was the cheese accompanying the pretzel. It had been heated to the point where it was watery and did not adhere to the pretzel. It was either a poor cheese product or over-cooked. But other than that glitch, the food was great. We enjoyed the beer enough that we inquired about buying a six-pack to go. Well time has moved beyond six-packs in the craft beer world. The Dunkel came in a three pack of 30oz cans instead of six 12oz cans. I need to drink more beer to stay up with the times. Lockport Brewery was a winner. The food and drink were outstanding, the staff friendly and the facility clean and well-tended. I would not hesitate to...

Arrived with a group of six. We were seated in the back patio area. Server was very nice. We ordered burgers and beer. 20 minutes later the food arrived for four. My wife and I sat and drank our beer and patiently waited. No one checked on us. 10 minutes later we asked the server about our food. The order was taken via a hand held device (computer). He went to check and returned to ask what we ordered. We again reminded him of our order. Still no food no apology no complimentary drink or appetizer. 5 minutes later he returns and stated that he does not know what happened but our food would be out lightning fast. Another 10 minutes goes by. And the four friends have now Finnished their meals and two beers. Again I ask the waiter what the hold up was. We get our first apology . We announce our displeasure and add that our meals should be free. The manager arrives and ask us if we still want to eat or if we want our food to go or if we just want to leave. She never apologized or offered anything to make us feel better. She was gruff and showed little customer service. Our food did arrive and our bill had 10 percent taken off. I did like our waiter but I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. The manager could and should have done better. I know things happen but the customer should be...

When you first arrive, especially at night, it's beautiful allure from the well placed lights on the sides of the building, to the inviting beer garden, are simply the perfect touches to set the experience. Ordering was a bit different (they have you sit, but walk up to the bar to order) but wasn't a negative, just wanted to note, because it was different. The apps were great, especially the rosemary fries and buffalo cauliflower wings. Did not like the tacos at all; wet, cold, no flavor chicken with shredded cheese, cold, straight from the bag on top. The staff was wonderful, and were very welcoming/accommodating. As for the spirits, the wine was good, the beer was excellent ... especially the cinnamon sugared rimmed glass with their home brewed Pumpkin. Simply divine and such a treat. I love the fact that they have 5oz sample sizes $2.50 so you can try and not have too much. Really loved this place and look forward...
