Border Grill — Restaurant in Negaunee

5/29/23-

I ordered the garlic chicken smokey burrito and got to meet Negaunee BG’s store manager as well. Incredibly professional and nice guy who has a great team around him!

The burrito, and my Border Grill experience was a 10/10! The food was flavorful, fresh, lots of delicious ingredients and it was massive! And the customer service was unmatched.

Border Grill Negaunee is my happy place! Excellent indoor and outdoor dining too!

And the prices are good for what you get and the high quality food!

1/4/23-

I ordered the chicken Smokey burrito for pickup. Absolutely pleased with Emma’s rock star service and the kitchen crew is the best! The burritos are PACKED with the good stuff, layered expertly and perfectly folded- this burrito today was perhaps the best I’ve ever had. And certainly not the last from Negaunee Border Grill!

12/4/2022- My Mom and I went and dined in. I ordered the Steak Grande Burrito - and it was a 10/10 absolutely perfect! It was folded correctly, portioning was perfect throughout and I will definitely be ordering this again! My Mom ordered a Border Bowl and she loved hers, too!

Huge portions, fair prices, friendly service. I love getting a half Border, half Fuego large salsa! It’s not quite as hot and has loads of flavor! I love Border...

Border Grill is one of our favorite places and we have always had great experiences at all the locations. I recently developed an autoimmune disease and can no longer consume gluten. When I was placing my order I asked if the border sauce had gluten. The cashier (Brendyn) replied “it is tomato based so I assume it is.” If you have a food allergy you know that just because your allergy isn’t the base ingredient, that doesn’t mean it still couldn’t be an ingredient in the dish. I asked the cashier if he could please confirm if the sauce was gluten free. He walks back to the kitchen and says to the woman putting together orders “is the border sauce gluten free? I assume it is but apparently I have to ask.” She tells him it is and as he is walking back he is saying “I thought it was but I apparently had to be sure.” His tone and attitude through the interaction made me feel like a complete idiot. I don’t feel that is unreasonable for a customer to ask a cashier or server to confirm if a menu item contains an allergen. UPDATE 12/8/24 : Nothing has changed, portion sizes always seem overwhelming small. I ordered a border burrito tonight with double chicken for $14.25 regular price. Weighed the chicken when I got home, it had a total of 4oz cooked chicken.

The Negaunee borer grill does not compare to either of the Marquette locations. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra mile and get your food made correctly and proportionally correct. Portion sizes always seem smaller at this Negaunee location. Food is often served cold (even when you're on time for pick up). Recently ordered a chicken border burrito which was stuffed FULL with sour cream but only had 4-5 small pieces of cubed chicken pieces in the half I ate, even the brown rice seemed non existent. The Border Grill franchise has great recipes but this Negaunee location seems mismanaged and has been this way for years. Every other time I stop here...
