Contrast Coffee — Restaurant in Negaunee

I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place (and specifically this Negaunee location). I had a loooong week of no internet at my house, so I went to Contrast each day to work remotely. I stayed from 9-5 each day and it was phenomenal. First off the staff - they are ALL amazing. Because of the rough week I was having, the welcoming words from the staff was so appreciated! They also work so hard at not only serving the customers but keeping the place sparkling! Then the food and drinks - I have tried most things on the menu at this point and nothing has disappointed. My favorites are the Costa Rica pour over for a buzz, Magic Mocha for a sweet pick me up, and the Pacino sandwich! They also have so many Gluten Friendly options. Food was simple and quick. Can't say it was what I anticipated when sign says "restaurant", but a few things to enjoy for a quick bite or perhaps something to have along with your coffee. Though a little high on price at about $20 for coffee and a sandwich. However, with the use of wifi and a comfy leather couch to sit at, I was able to enjoy my hr in peace and had a decent view of the sunset. Might be a good go-to place to enjoy the fireworks show this summer. I found the value to be on point and would definitely visit again. Been here twice and each time hasn't been pleasant. The manager obviously doesn't cultivate a good work atmosphere. It is always noticeably tense. Overpriced for slow unfriendly service. This time when we came they refused to take our order for three minutes straight as the manager continued slowly chopping strawberries. Never in my life have I worked somewhere where it is acceptable to make customers wait while doing a task that can easily be paused and then continued after taking the order. Not good...
