JD's Brickyard Pub & Grub — Restaurant in Neillsville

On August 22nd I was in town for a meeting. I had asked a local person where to eat and he told me the Brickyard. I went and was greeted by the bartender. I wanted something other than a sandwich, so the bartender told me about their Wednesday special of prime rib. I ordered the prime rib and had a quaint salad with a cup of beef vegetable soup. I was pleasantly impressed! The salad was good, and the beef vegetable soup was very good. The steak was delicious, the potato was hot and nicely white and not yellow. One star is not about the food, rather disinformation that #Brickyard is open till 12:00 am on Sundays. No, it was not even open at 10:20 pm today. I am quite sure their food will be excellent but first correct the information on the websites as part of basic courtesy towards the customers. This is a typical small town Wisconsin bar where they make a great old fashioned. I like mine with whiskey and sour and was happy not to have any of that muddled cherry at the bottom. Wish I lived closer. We were there for $1 taco night. They were good. I had deep fried green beans which I enjoyed, not to greasy. I would go back if we were ever in the area.
