Swiftwater Ice Cream — Restaurant in Nekoosa

My experience was short but never the less set the wrong tone for me. My daughter and her friend went there to get some ice cream and my husband and I sat in the car. As teenagers they were laughing and my daughters friend dropped her ice cream on the ground. Again yes they are teenagers and were laughing about this. So they came to the car not knowing what to do. So I got out of the car and stood in line. As the male owner came out to pick up the ice cream from the ground I simply asked "Can we get another ice cream, it doesn't even need to be the same size". The response I received was "If you pay, we don't just give away free large ice cream cones". So my observation in this very short interaction was that he was rude. I do understand that my daughter and her friend were laughing and acting goofy but they are teenagers at an ice cream shop and when the ice cream dropped it was an accident. Second I wasn't asking for a large free ice cream but my daughters friend did pay for the ice cream on her own. I am sure running a business is difficult but for that night you lost our business and we went somewhere else for another ice cream. Kids will be kids and they were not doing anything wrong but laughing and being silly. I strongly suggest you look up the video called "Give 'em the pickle" by Bob Farrell. Maybe you will learn something on customer service. Maybe instead of making your comment on having to pay for another ice cream you could of simply said "I can't give you another large but how about we do a small or even a baby cone". Love the ice cream but collin is sooooo rude. I asked about a flavor and he rolled his eyes and said caramel so rude. Its called caramel collison. I asked is it carmel ice cream or caramel swirl. He said its caramel caramel caramel. I asked so its 3 types of caramel. He couldnt keep rolling his eyes hard enough. And i told him how rude he was and just rolls his eyes. I asked for someone else to wait on me and he said there was noone else but there were two other people there. Ive never been so disrespected in my life. While traveling along The Wisconsin River a couple people said we should stop at Swiftwater Ice Cream in Nekoosa. Glad we did, and we're glad we did. Each of us enjoyed their ice cream and they had plenty of flavors to choose from.

What really surprised us were these amazing murals. They were composed of mirror and mosaic tiles. BEAUTIFUL!
