Cody's Gastro Garage Nephi — Restaurant in Nephi

I really wanted to like this place but it was disappointing in a number of ways. There were "secret" menus that I found out about after I ordered my food. One menu called "Locals Only" was tucked behind other table signage and another one was called "Ten Minute Tesla Menu" that was sitting on the counter where you pay after your meal. Either of these menus would have been preferable to the "Lunch Menu" that was provided at 8:00 pm. My chicken strips and fries looked and tasted like it was out of the hot case at a grocery store or gas station. The menu said they came either grilled or fried and had 4 different dipping sauce options. Server didn't ask how I wanted them, but fried is what arrived at the table with two sauces I couldn't immediately identify. I asked if there were other sauces available and if I could please have ketchup for the fries. My meal came with a salad that was piled high and served on a flat plastic plate that was impossible to not spill all over the table. The tomatoes were plentiful and diced so fine, like confetti. When I noticed the Locals Only menu, the server said that she should have mentioned it because it's available to anyone, not just locals...but of course by then it was too late. My friend had a dry burger that came with no sauce, no mustard; just a small cup of ketchup on the side. Such a strange little place with mediocre food, in an auto shop-themed building - which was cute but then cloth napkins and a hidden beer/wine menu and and Tesla charging stations on both sides of the building. We stopped in for a quick bite en route to Ogden. When we were seated, our table had a large chunk of some sort of food on it which I quickly brushed off. We were all starving so I ordered some chips & queso to eat while we waited on our meal. The chips & queso never came but our meals quickly came so I did not complain. My daughter ordered the Bear Lake Salad with fried chicken & I ordered the steak salad. My daughter's salad came with grilled chicken instead of the fried. The chicken was very dry. My steak salad did not have a single tortilla strip in it which was in the description on the menu. My friend's chicken noodle soup looked more like chicken & dumplings. Once we received our food, the hostess came back to check on us once but that was it. We never saw our server again. We finally just walked up to the cash register & asked if we could pay her there to which she replied "yeah" like I was stupid. I asked her to double check to make sure that I was not billed for the chips & queso at which point she realized that she forgot to place that order. I should have checked my ticket more thoroughly before leaving. I was charged $6 for the fried chicken to go on top of my daughter's $14 salad! That's ridiculous! While the portions are plenty, make sure that you check your ticket before paying. And considering the fact that we were 1 of 2 parties in there on Super Bowl Sunday, we should have received top notch...

When I went there the first time they just got their liquor license, the service was awesome had an older lady serve the food it was great! The last couple of times I have been back the service sucked I ordered a ribeye and shrimp they didn’t bring my salad till they brought the main entree out and the shrimp was missing I don’t know how many times I had to call the waitress over to get silverware or refills on our drinks it was bad. This last time me and the lady ordered a chicken Malibu and a bacon cheeseburger with two waters our server was Harlie we saw her three time once to take our order and bring us drinks and serve food. She didn’t bring silverware napkins ketchup nothing. Then we had to get the other girls attention who where huddled up behind the register to bring us napkins and silverware, nothing was done after that not a simple how is your food no refills can I get you a box nothing. So we did not leave a tip nothing was earned! And to note the lady behind the register didn’t even ask how our food was!

This restaurant has potential they really need to work on their communication and taking care of the customer if they can pay attention to detail of their customers this place would be great! Until this gets fixed I don’t see us coming back, which really sucks cause the food is good!
