Oh Applebee's....where do I begin? I am so very happy that one star equals HATE because I will NEVER ever ever ever.....go to any of your stores again. EVER I will give you this, your consistency with how I have been treated, across the board, is mind boggling. I have had the same issue from 4 stores in 4 different states/cities. I suppose one could consider me a glutton for punishment, but I like to think of myself as the ever optimist. Yeah...it ends now with you. When we were seated at this location, I told the boyfriend what my previous experiences were and he laughed, thinking I was making it up. Oh...how soon he would learn about my Applebee's Jinx. This is the common theme with only slight variations. We were seated after a little bit of confusion of who was still working. Then we waited. And we waited some more. We finally had to wave down the bartender, as several servers walked past us without helping. He took our orders, brought our drinks and we proceeded to wait some more. I started to laugh, what else could I possibly do? The jinx struck yet again. 45 minutes we waited, 5 minutes of trying to get anyone's attention. FINALLY the bartender came back and was told we were leaving in 2 minutes. Now, one would think that would light a fire and we would see the light bulb go off and he'd realize our clean and empty table would jog his memory that we needed food. I mean, after all, the 4-top seated next to us AFTER our arrival got their food, as did the 8-top two tables over. But..nope. Big fat nope. You know what did arrive, and not by our bartender? Wait for it.....the check!!! The nerve!! We got the check, for food we never received!!! I instantly felt my blood pressure go through the roof. The boyfriend, who is normally calm lost it. I offered to pay for my drink, which was almost gone at that point, I was trying to pace myself to have it with my actual meal, but he said no way were we paying for anything! I felt bad for the guy, as he had no idea what happened, he was told to deliver the check, he walked into a mess. I shook my head, said to him how ridiculous that we would be expected to pay for food that never arrived. We left....we will NEVER EVER EVER EVER be back. We went to Chili's, we were served within minutes, didn't have time to finis my salad and out came my entree!! It was hot, it was fresh, the service was what is expected. Side note, it wasn't busy at either location, some sections were being closed down because it was so slow for a Friday night. I get that things happen, but this.....this is what ALWAYS happens to me at Applebee's, except once. One time, in Arizona, the server had no idea what was gluten free on the menu and had to send the manager over...that took too long, a "mini" jinx about to happen, so I figured out what I could eat. That service was slower than necessary. Yeah...I keep trying but the failures are too much. Good luck to your loyal fans, I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER be one. Not a Taylor Swift fan either, but that song just won't go away. I'd give a negative star but you earned my...

Mannie manager 11/27/17 5:25p Monday Spoke with the manager “Manny” rude service accused me lying about my food allergy being allergic to “shellfish”
Served by Jon R bartender Bourbon chicken Marconi &chicken Mozzarella sticks Corona LongIsland IceTea 11/26 1028p Bill $37.90
First and foremost I did not appreciate the customer service that I received from the management today. I spoke with the manager about an issue that I had the night before with my food. I am allergic to any kind of shellfish or iodine. I ordered the bourbon chicken with shrimp and I asked nicely could you please not put the shrimp on there because I am very allergic to shellfish so the bartender ran back in the back told the chefs from what I understood whenever my plate was brought back out and had no appearance of shellfish on it but being that I am allergic to shellfish I understand that the meal had shrimp in it but I asked for it to be taken out so therefore I wouldn’t have thought that they would have cooked it in any kind of selfish oil or anything like that. At 4 o’clock in the morning I started to itch I had to go to the store and buy myself some Benadryl I started breaking out in hives and because the only thing I had eaten since was Applebee’s that play I obviously assume that that’s what it was so when I spoke with the manager named Manny, he went on to ask me questions like how much was my meal and what did I ordered so I told him it was only $37.90 for everything and that I have the bourbon chicken with shrimp but asked for the shrimp to be taken off he explicitly told me that there’s no way to prove that I got that food poisoning from Applebee’s I asked him I did not understand why he was saying that and he still kept asking me questions like what is their shrimp on your plate whenever you received it I told him no because I asked for it not with shrimp I also asked him back is it a possibility that they may have put that in something with shellfish he still went on to tell me that there is no way or if there’s no proof that I got it from that Applebee’s and there’s nothing that he can do for me. So I said ok hung up and now I’m letting others who have allergies go at...
Read moreApplebee’s has long been a staple in casual dining, and my recent visit reinforced why it remains a reliable choice for an affordable, family-friendly meal. The atmosphere is relaxed, with a mix of booths and tables that cater to both small gatherings and larger groups. The décor isn’t fancy, but it gives off a cozy neighborhood vibe, which is exactly what you expect from a casual chain restaurant.
The menu offers a wide variety of options, from classic American comfort food to lighter, healthier choices. I ordered the Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp, which was flavorful and perfectly seasoned, served sizzling on a hot skillet with mashed potatoes and sautéed onions. The portion size was generous, and the shrimp was cooked just right—juicy and not rubbery. My companion had the Classic Bacon Cheeseburger, and it was a hit: fresh toppings, a juicy patty, and crispy fries that weren’t overly greasy.
Service was friendly and attentive. Our server checked in often enough to make sure drinks were full and everything was prepared to our liking but didn’t hover too much, which I appreciated. The food arrived hot and in a reasonable time, even though the restaurant was moderately busy.
Prices are reasonable for the portion sizes, especially if you take advantage of their daily deals or the 2-for-$25 menu. It’s not gourmet dining, but it’s consistent, which is one of Applebee’s strongest selling points.
If you’re looking for a fancy night out, Applebee’s won’t impress you. But if you want a casual, dependable meal with a variety of choices and friendly service, it’s a solid option. It’s great for families, casual dates, or just grabbing a quick bite with friends.
