The two guys making the sandwiches this Sunday March 30th 2025 were totally overwhelmed and it was not even that that busy. It was only 11:20am and they had run out of 4 types of bagels, bacon, and more. They were yelling behind the counter shouting "we are closed, we can't take any more orders!" A lady came in and they said it's a 30-45 minutes wait, my order of a bagel.and salad took over 45 minutes!! And 4 people after me, got their order before I did. Now for the: HEALTH DEPARTMENT ALERT
I am waiting at the counter as a customer is digging through all of her change to pay, and came up with 15 dimes! The cashier with blue nitrile gloves counted each coin, transferimg.them.to the palm of her other gloves hand, and then into the cash register. She then spins around and builds another bagel sandwich with those dirty gloves. I said nicely, so the three workers could her me... "HEY I am not with the Health Department, but you know you should be changing those gloves after counting change with them." Nobody even looked up!! One of the guys and the girl sneezed loudly, more than once into the air while making sandwiches, at least the turned their head to the side. To top it off the bagel was just meh! Regular plain cream cheese because apparently they were out of the vegetable, barely any spinnach, and a limp tomato. Do they get their bagels from the grocery store, ebeve it was bland, not fresh baked. Worst hour of my life that I will never get back. One guy and his wife asked for a refund, and at least 10 customers were turned away while I was there. Why didn't they turn their OPEN sign off? đ Worst review I...
Read moreThis business has seen the most repeat business from us than any other small business in Craven County. They always get our order correct. Consistent flavor and consistency of ingredients. Oh, and the bagels are better than any local competitors.
If I could reccomend one thing for the owner is to figure out a way to bridge the gap on the loyalty program with the online ordering sysyem. I really am missing out on any potential saving/repeat business perks, however, I would not want to stand in the long lines on the weekend to take advantage of the loyalty program.
So I guess there's a trade off there. By the way, long lines for a bagel means that they are doing things well. If you want quality, you've got to be willing to bring some patience. Also, I believe this means that the business can expand if they wanted to...just saying, this business is great and being busy is a good problem to have.
Bottom line, check them out. I've never been...
Read moreFor starters, I actually enjoy these bagels. I went back and forth over several different trips about leaving a review but today just tilted me in this direction. I arrive at 1:28 and youâre closed?! Thatâs lazy service. Keep the doors open the extra half hour or update your hours of operation on Google.
The next 2 things were my previous 2 visits here. First one, I show up and they are completely out of bacon at 9:30 am. Come on, guys⊠You make breakfast bagels and you donât have the foresight to make sure you have enough inventory on hand? Second visit I came in and waited 53 minutes to get TWO bagels. They have pretty slow service consistently but I just accept it 9 out of 10 times. This time was just ridiculous.
Again, I like this place. In fact, I will probably come back again despite the fact that they will likely provide substandard customer service. I hope you guys figure out a...
