My concerns the bill, food quality and food service. The view is impeccable, the facility is impeccable, the service was polite but bothersome. I was asked 3 times during my meal if it was ok but had to wait many minutes for our drinks, a steak knife and again for the bill. I should not have even had to ask for a steak knife as I had ordered steak frites. Steak you get a knife. One reason I order this meal is because it comes sliced for you (everywhere I’ve ever ordered it but here), it’s the highest quality steak but it has good flavor and it’s sliced for you! To make matters worse I was brought a standard butter knife. So by the time I start eating, my husband was half way finished his meal. He had the fish and chips and reports the meal to be very fresh and delicious. My struggles with my meat were real and the truffle fries were limp and less then hot. No I would not recommend, I’ve had better many many times. Also, it is extremely annoying to me to be dining and have the table cleared out under me while I am eating. You might as well say times up get out. Like I said my husband was finished well before me and all of a sudden our server was to our table so promptly. He removed his dish and asked if there was anything else I needed. I’m sure he was being kind but I felt like a shove for me to hurry up and finish. Then he came back not once but 2 more times. Were there folks waiting to be seated? Nope not one, the restaurant was not busy at all. For me I think it’s rude to clear a table before all guests are done eating, especially when it’s just a couple. I think it’s rude to come and interrupt the meal several times, you come back once after everyone has had a chance to taste their meal to see if all is well, then keep an eye on your party but let them eat and enjoy the experience. The bill. Watch your bill, we paid $2 more for a drink then advertised and $16 more (yes $48 vs $32) for the infamous steak frites! I paid the bill and thought something was off so I checked the menu on the way out. I was correct, I brought it to the managers attention (a unfriendly man) so hopefully it won’t happen to others. 3 cocktails, 2 entrees with 15% tip $162.05. Unfortunately , this experience...
Read moreMy wife and i enjoyed Sunday afternoon eating on the deck. Our salads with protein (salmon, blackened haddock) were plentiful and delicious. And our drinks were also very good. You can’t beat the views. Our young, college student server was engaging and attentive. With all that being said, it’s only 3 stars for service and here’s why: after my wife and I declined appetizers, the server said “well, can I get you started with some bread.” And we said yes. When he returned with the rolls, I said “so many restaurants no longer offer bread.” It was clearly implied the bread was “on the house” so we were surprised to see a $9 charge for four rolls. We noticed later the rolls were on the menu under appetizers. But we left feeling our server was intentionally less than transparent in order to run up the bill a bit (and the tip). He had at least two opportunities to let us know the rolls weren’t pro bono. That’s my story and I’m...
Read moreThe perfect experience! For my grandmothers 92nd birthday all she wanted was to get her first massage so all of the ladies in the family took her to Wentworth by the Sea..and it did not disappoint. Not only was the spa amazing but after we had lunch at Latitudes and it was perfect. From the moment we walked in they were so lovely to my grandmother- making her feel special the entire day. Our waiter Chris and he was fantastic. We had decorated the table and were all wearing birthday hats and he was not only a fantastic waiter but was so patient with us (there was a lot of us), took pictures for us and even wore a crown! We were seated in the coveted outdoor seating and we never once felt rushed. The food was equally amazing and we are all still raving about it today (the tomato and watermelon salad is to die for). From start to finish our dinning experience was perfect and I would recommend...
