Pizza Joe's — Restaurant in New Castle

My wife and I ordered pizza through DoorDash from here last night. First, the prices for what we ordered are absolutely crazy. $15 for a 10 inch 6 cut specialty pizza is ridiculous. I can get more pizza for less at any other chain. We got the dippin stix which had about as much flavor and palatability as the carboard box it came in. We also got the cinnamon sticks as a dessert and they barely had any cinnamon or flavor. We were extremely disappointed in the food we received. On top of that, both of us are fighting over our bathroom today because we are both really sick. I'm not sure what part of dinner caused this, but since that was the only meal we had eaten yesterday, we know it was the food we ordered that made us sick. I did take the time to email their corporate office through their website. If Pizza Joe's makes things right, this review may go from a 1 star to a 3 star, but they have a lot of work to do to get the higher rating from me. I am not one for leaving comments or reviews, but i decided to make an exception this instance. I was very impressed during my last visit at the Croton Ave location. Speaking as someone who had many years in management in the food service industry, I always am impressed whenever I see a well run restaurant and see guests leaving happy and satisfied. This evening it took the franchise owner rolling up his sleeves and getting behind the line making food to make this happen. It's very rare when you see a franchise owner in the back of the restaurant, let alone working during a busy shift. That kind of passion for the business and caring of the staff shows. Even the gentleman grabbing my order was enthusiastic to talk to me about the owner and got my food promptly. I was in for lunch, sitting down and eating. An older gentleman came in, who was using a cane and seemed to have speech issues. He asked if they had a certain type of pizza out for individual slices, they said they just put one in the oven, then he left. As the door closed behind him, the two ladies running the store went to the kitchen area and proceeded to make rude comments about the older man who had just left, making fun of the way he walked and talked.
