Great, friendly service! Vernon the owner is a delight to talk to 😊 It’s nice to see a cafe back in town and open before 7am. The food was great and I normally don’t like cream cheese on my bagel (unless it’s flavored cream cheese) 🥯, but I had some on my Rosemary Bagel and it was delicious 😋. I also got a Raspberry Scone which almost tastes like a tart flavored scone, but it wasn’t too dry or crumbly and was actually warm 🙌 Note that the coffee is self serve and they don’t make specialty coffees at the moment. Will definitely be stopping in on occasion on my way to work.

We stopped here on a road trip unexpectedly on our way to Northern Maine. We were just looking for a cup of coffee, but we were a little bit hungry and they told us sit down and have a seat. To our surprise, the food was amazing. Super fresh, tasty and great service! We had the pancakes and bacon, (phenomenal pancakes ) and a turkey wrap. The turkey wrap was super fresh ….. for something so simple it tasted delicious. The next time we travel through, we will definitely be back.

Man, did Cafe 1055 exceed my expectations. Got the breakfast sandwich which was awesome. The fresh bagel was perfect, egg was cooked just like I asked and the bacon was crispy. The well done hash browns on the side were the perfect addition. Cannot wait to go again. The owner was super nice as well. Excited for a great addition to New Gloucester.

After church, my wife, mother-in-law, and I took a 30-minute drive to CAFE 1055 after church. As we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Vernon Dukes—the 'Trucker of Truth' and master of smoked cuisine—working hard even on a Sunday. Our first impression was filled with the aroma and sight of freshly baked goods, which drew us straight to the display. Knowing how popular they are online, we snagged three scones for breakfast tomorrow, and the staff packaged them beautifully, adding a little note on each box. I won't spoil what it says, but it definitely sparked smiles all around the table! Our waitress (whose name we’ll be sure to remember next time) made the experience even better, offering recommendations that we couldn’t resist. We left already planning our return visit, chatting about everything we wanted to try on our drive back. CAFE 1055 is worth the trip for its welcoming atmosphere, unforgettable flavors, and clean bathrooms. Well done, Mr....

This is a worthy stop on any Sunday morning drive. North on 202, easy access and parking. Staff are friendly and attentive. I had the eggs benedict specialty of the day which was served with homemade brisket. Home made hollandaise was fluffy and light, served on a bagel (a little too much bread for me), accompanied by perfectly made baby red potato home fries. Coffee appropriately strong. Having moved to Raymond recently, this is a comfortable 25 mintue drive through the country to arrive at the bright and airy 1055 Cafe. My new local...
