After church, my wife, mother-in-law, and I took a 30-minute drive to CAFE 1055 after church. As we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Vernon Dukes—the 'Trucker of Truth' and master of smoked cuisine—working hard even on a Sunday. Our first impression was filled with the aroma and sight of freshly baked goods, which drew us straight to the display. Having moved to Raymond recently, this is a comfortable 25 mintue drive through the country to arrive at the bright and airy 1055 Cafe. My new local...
