We took our daughter here for her birthday because it is usually one of our favorite places to eat. We love the food and the atmosphere. The wait staff is always helpful. Today they were busier than they have ever been at a time when we came, but we were seated promptly, tables were cleaned immediately after previous diners were done and there were not long wait times that one would expect when a place is as packed as they were. The problem came with food quality. I ordered a belgian waffle expecting a fresh made waffle off of the waffle iron with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. I received frozen waffles reheated as if from a grocery store with thawed previously frozen strawberries and a sprinkling of powdered sugar. My wife ordered biscuits and gravy expecting traditional country sausage gravy. Instead she received chicken gravy with sausage in it. My daughter ordered a cheese omelet. Any breakfast restaurant that serves omelets with processed American Cheddar instead of shredded fresh cheeses isn't doing it right. Lately we are finding a lot of restaurants doing this though. One of the best things about Klunder's is their desserts. I ordered a banana cream pie, my wife monster bar and my daughter cheesecake. The cheesecake was excellent. The pie was salty. The bar was partially frozen. The price was good though. 3 breakfast and 3 desserts for $32.89. Considering the quality I would have rather paid more for better food. This has been a go o restaurant for us. Sadly, it may be a while before we choose...

So I've eaten here 3 times now I am a Firm believer of giving a place a chance the 1st time that I have eaten here I had eggs bacon hash Browns and biscuit and gravy eggs and bacon were cooked fine but the biscuit and gravy was very greasy obviously you could tell that it was homemade gravy but there were so much grease you couldn't eat it the 2nd time that I've eaten here I had the chicken fried to take mashed potatoes sadly the chicken fried steak tasted like it was prepared months in advance and frozen then microwaved I had a T'ang that I could not describe mashed potatoes had Peelings in them as well I'm not a fan of that but I know some are 3rd time that I've eaten here which will sadly be my last I had just a simple Bacon cheeseburger and fries The bacon cheeseburger what's sadly Almost As Thin as a piece of paper with a slice of cheese into little pieces of bacon The bacon was so hard that it almost chipped my tooth And the Burger came with no lettuce or tomato pickle or onion I am a truck driver the 1st thing that I look for is little mom and pop restaurants to eat at I get tired of eating fast food but it's pretty sad when McDonald's has a better Burger I think the thing that got me most is it they charge me 10.99 for this bacon cheeseburger And I didn't get anything with it but just Fries I'm not going to say To avoid this place Because reading the other reviews on here it seems hit-or-miss but I seem...

So first this last time we ordered to go we spent a lot on food for mothers day $60 worth and they left out a side of hash browns there was no silverware at all, no napkins even, no condiments of any kind, when we went back to get the rest of our food they tried to say that we had to "ask" for silverware and condiments, one of the employees was also very snarky about it, and in all honesty the food wasn't even that good. The hash browns were so not cooked enough, and the one burger we had tasted like straight butter. Then the time before that we also ordered food to go and they left out an entire meal and we didn't know untill we got home which is in Nashua so by the time we went back and got that meal the rest of the food was already cold which is bogus. If you serve food to go then you need to be sure you have good staff that triple check to make sure all the food is there and have every to go meal go out with the proper condiments and silverware and napkins, customers should not have to ask for those things. All in all we are very dis-pleased with their quality and their service we will not be spending another penny at this...

I had an appointment in New Hampton and researched what restaurants were around New Hampton. I was impressed by the positive reviews people had posted about Klunders, so we checked it out. I ordered a California hamburger and my two sides were a salad and hash browns. The burger was fresh and tasty with plenty of onions and pickles. The salad was fresh w/ carrot shavings on top (pretty basic) but the hash browns were hot and crispy on the edges : so good! Also a patty melt which was delicious, plenty of crinkle cut fries and delicious, tangy and sweet cole slaw. The iced tea and lemonade were refreshing. The staff were friendly and attentive. On the way to pay, you cannot miss the dessert case full of scrumptious looking pies and cakes. We brought home a piece of carrot cake and a slice of cherry pie to be enjoyed later. We will most definitely be back!

We live in the next town over from Klunder’s Kafe but don’t get over there as often as we should. Decided to go today and it was totally worth the drive. Our waitress, Mandy, was very attentive without hovering, and our food came quickly. I had the liver & onions dinner (hey, to each his own, okay?) and my husband had the ground sirloin dinner. We both opted for a salad and potato wedges as our sides. Both dinners came with a huge homemade dinner roll and butter. My liver & onions was cooked to perfection and smothered with a big pile of succulent grilled onions. The potato wedges were perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside-how do they that?? Servings for both were very generous. The menu is pretty extensive with sandwiches (2 different styles of Reubens, wraps), burgers, dinners-lots of options. We will be going back more often.
