We went to Rossis tonight for dinner after reading nothing but positive reviews. We orders 2 Alfredo’s, 2 kids spaghettis, 1kids Alfredo, a haddock plate and a fisherman’s platter and some cheesy garlic bread. To start off we will go positive. The Alfredo was decent, but honestly not worth the price of $26, the garlic bread was also good, and the dinner rolls they put out before your meal were okay as well. Now let’s get into the nitty gritty. The fisherman’s platter was $32 and it came with a piece of fried haddock smaller than the size of my hand (which is not big at all), 3 fried shrimp and 2 fried scallops (we were supposed to get clams we were told and got none), and some fries. The batter was gross and the tartar sauce tasted like straight mayo. The food was not good nor enough for the price. The haddock plate was a piece of haddock and a handful of fries. Again the haddock was not worth the price. Now onto the spaghetti my kids got. My kids LOVE spaghetti! They could eat it all day every day if we allowed them. Neither kid wanted their spaghetti. They said it didn’t taste right and was weird. (This is normal for kids if it’s not a recipe they are used to) However, my husband then tried it to show they were over reacting because it wasn’t their moms spaghetti. He tried it and immediately was disgusted. He said he’d rather have a tv dinner spaghetti because it would taste better. We did not force our kids to eat it. Our total bill came to 160 dollars. 5 out of the 7 of us got water with our meals and two got cokes. My husband got a second coke and was charged (not typical but oh well it’s fine). We wish we would have been told ahead of time is all. This was our first time coming here based of nothing but good reviews. We will never go back. Our waitress was nice enough but a little reserved (which again I understand, it was just opening time and she was the only one there, but it was not busy yet at all). Moral of the story is the food was not worth the cost and we would not recommend going to this restaurant to anyone we know. The only good thing was the Alfredo. So unfortunate for something we were all looking...
Read moreUPDATED REVIEW: My original review is below. Last night, Sept 7, 2025, I purchased our 51st anniversary dinner from here. We ordered a large pizza with chicken, onion, and broccoli. Also, two shrimp cocktails, then a kid's order of meatballs and zetti.
Everything was EXCELLENT. The red sauce with the meatballs might be the best I've ever had. The shrimp were large and cooked to perfection. They were firm, not rubbery. The pizza crust was unbelievable.
I'm NOT a relative or friend of the Rossi's. I'm just an ordinary customer like you. I feel this place is superior to Fratello's in Laconia.
Original Review: I purchased a pizza for takeout here two nights ago. I've driven by this restaurant no less than 500 times and never visited. What a mistake! The pizza was excellent. It was ready on time. The toppings were abundant. I could see the owners hard at work in the kitchen through the Take Out portal. I guarantee you I'll be back with my wife and friends. Oh, I forgot to tell you about the pizza crust. I'm a crust snob! The crust was perfect. The outer ring was cooked to perfection. It was still nice and doughy, but firm. I haven't had crust like that since Zino's in Cincinnati...
Read moreNice American-Italian restaurant in Bristol. Decent variety with flavorful food. Dinner rolls are amazing! Crispy outside, pillowy soft inside. Started with the fried calamari. Super tender with a crisp exterior. For dinner, had the linguine with clams special and wife had the scallops. Both very tasty.
Service was simply amazing. Our server, Nadine, was juggling a large table, and two smaller ones, including our two top. She did an amazing job juggling all of us, and keeping us on pace with drinks, appetizers, rolls, and main courses. An elderly woman, I can only assume the owner, was there helping out by cleaning tables, providing food, running service, and generally being very supportive of the wait staff. Everyone working there seemed to work as a team, helping each other out, and covering for each other.
Love Rossi’s. Way better than that slightly fancier place up the road that’s part of a local chain. We will be back. By the way, the photo of the calamari shows us after we had dipped into a couple pieces. It was a much neater and cleaner presentation than the photo! The food was so good, we simply tucked in before being able to take...
