Pudgy's Sport Pub — Restaurant in New Hanover Township

Server refused to serve half of us because our party was too large for her. Wasn't a huge deal, because they were super busy. When trying to get a table inside when they were less busy and the crowds were dying down, so we could at least order some food we were denied because they weren't going to give a table to one person. After politely suggesting maybe they could hire more staff because they seemed understaffed the last few times we were there, the older male employee proceeded to mock us for the branch of service we belonged to. The food was pretty good the previous time, which is why I was so willing to give them my money, but they didn't seem to want that nor care.

I was a little worried by the negative reviews but figured I would try it out since since I'm here a couple of days and it's convenient. The food was on par or better than the average pub/bar food. I didnt experience any long wait times and I was here for a Monday night and Tuesday lunch (arrived at 1140). At noon a wait line did start forming at about noon, you get that anywhere, but quickly died down. Drinks are the standard on base price and selection is okay but not awful. There was one point where I waited 8 minutes for a drink during the rush, but the world cup was on so oh well. Me (17M), my mother (40+), and my sister (14F) all went there for lunch this afternoon (1PM). The staff was incredibly kind, charismatic, and funny. When a waiter made a mistake with my identified gender he immediately corrected it and continued without worry. The food was insanely delicious. I have sensory issues and I bought a simple burger and fries. I could not put down the meal, I ate it all and I was left speechless. Food, service, pricing, and atmosphere was fantastic, incredible, beyond words.
