The Markley Grille at Bella Vista Golf Course (Open to the Public) — Restaurant in New Hanover Township

Charming pub & grill on a beautiful golf course in a lovely 1800s era home, possibly still original wood floors in the dining room areas. The food was good. Service was great. We were the first ones there for dinner. Near the end of our experience, a raucous group of golfers came in and sat at the bar, celebrating their day on the course. The very kind waitress came over and forewarned us that it was going to get loud because the league guys are coming in. We were very gracious and told her we didn't mind at all and thanked her. Edited review: Had to bump it down a few stars. We have been going for over 15 years and this really has gone down. Can't keep good staff. Menu constantly changing. Food is now not great and often improvised - Reuben was served on Texas toast, spring mix salad was all spinach - etc. Charged us for a double twice without us asking. Some servers don't even make eye contact! They could do so much better - esp since they own...

Five of us went there for Father's day dinner. They advertise lunch and dinner but they only had salads, soups, and sandwiches. The server was nice and the food was okay but I don't think we would go back again. There was only 1 other table of people and we had to physically look for the server to get our check. It had a 4 star rating but I did not...
