Disappointing Experience â Wonât Be Returning
I first visited this diner with my mom and a friend, and at the time, it was a decent experience. The waitress was friendly, and the food was what youâd expect from a typical truck stop dinerânothing fancy, but passable.
However, my most recent visit on June 12, 2025, was a different story. We waited nearly an hour for a simple burger and a country fried steak. The potatoes on the plate were cold, and the burger was just okay. Another customer who arrived around the same time as us waited about 45 minutes for a BLTâand there were only two tables seated in the entire restaurant.
Service was underwhelming. One of the staff members, who referred to herself as the âserving manager,â spent more time on her phone than attending to guests. While she was polite, she wasnât very attentive. For example, she asked if I needed anything, and when I requested a water refill, she didnât bother to ask my mom if she needed one too.
We also ordered the sampler appetizer, which arrived at the same time as our entrĂ©esânot ideal. By then, the food was lukewarm at best, but we didnât complain since we had already waited so long. When we mentioned the issue while paying, there was no acknowledgment or offer to adjust the bill.
Be prepared to ask whatâs unavailable before you orderâthey seem to be out of multiple items more often than not. And if youâre ordering the MVP breakfast, be aware thereâs an extra charge for eggs, despite them being listed as part of the meal.
We were told the delays were due to a new cook who was only in her second week and was overwhelmedâdespite only having four orders to manage (a BLT, country fried steak, a steak with veggies, and our appetizer).
Unfortunately, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Between the long wait, cold food, inattentive service, and lack of professionalism, I wonât be back. Honestly, Iâd rather grab something from Taco...
Read moreCame in here two days straight for breakfast and lunch. This truck stop is awful with all the construction. But the service with Ashley both days was absolutely amazing. She treated us like normal human beings and not some old truckers. She was so polite and attentive to our every need. She made us feel so welcome and even picked out my husbands meal both mornings for him. My husband couldnât keep his eyes off of her or his comments to himself. But Ashley didnât act uncomfortable and took every little remark w a grain of salt. Sheâs probably use to it with the way she looks & working here. We loved her so much. We came again at night for dinner. Both nights we had Megan. And she was so polite as well. She said she was a little new. But her bosses were great and she explained how she never worked somewhere, where the team playing atmosphere was so intense. There was a gentleman training another young kid this morning. And the respect he used speaking to and helping the new employee was amazing. Ashley told us it was actually the assistant manager. Seeing that showed us how truly amazing all the positivity is this place has. One tiny complaint though. The girl Sirra that cooked Saturday night was kind of sloppy. She kept disappearing and was on that damn phone the whole time. I think all our food was made right. But half was cold and half was warm. And some was burnt. I donât know. Maybe she had a bad night. Other then that incident. Our service and food was great. Weâve been to a lot of truck stop restaurants. This one surpassed all of them w the good service and...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped here on April 21, 2022 at this truck stop. Huddle House was terrible. No one greeted us, seat yourself, had to get our own menu's, waited to for about 10 minutes before a waitress came and ask about our drinks. Husband meal was not completely cook properly and a little dry. Service was terrible
Ordered our dinner: I wanted a wrap and my meal came in a skillet dish. Waitress never check on us or asked us if we needed anything, she was to busy to VISTING with friends.
We were ready to leave, stood up and put our coats on, waiting for Waitress, a cook asked if "is there a problem?. I said "yes we are ready to leave and didn't get our bill because your staff is more busy visiting with others."
Next, Waitresses clothing I believe was not appropriate, ripped jeans all the way up to the thigh, constantly visiting with friends, she did not care about the her appearance..
WHAT TO HAPPEN TO PROPER ATTIRE FOR WAITRESS AND WAITERS.? (Black jeans, decent top, no skin showing and maturity.) Guest should always come first, NOT FRIENDS and smoke breaks...
Music was not appropriate for guest in the restaurant, it was mostly rap. The short cook was dancing with the music, no care about what he was doing, no gloves or hairnet, just placing stuff in microwave.
Ceiling titles were gross and dirty. This restaurant was dingy, when we travel that way again we will not stop and eat this restaurant. Subway was should have been our choice.
I hope management reads this, we will not stop and eat Huddle...
