El Taco Lalo Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in New Ipswich

Authentic and Delicious! I have to say I was a bit leery of Mexican food in New Ipswitch being any good. We pulled into a small strip mall area and I got even more worried. Everything changed after that! We walked and we were immediately tended to. We opted to sit outside on the perfect day. The outside seating is not optimal being right next to the parking lot but that was the only downside for this restaurant. Our water was attentive and VERY knowledge on the dishes. We started with chips, salsa and guacamole....passed the test 100%! We opted for 6 types of street tacos (birria, steak, chicken, carnitas, chorizo and pastor) which were amazing! The onions, and cilantro were plentiful on the fresh tortillas. The side sauce was amazing and added an extra punch for those who enjoy that. Along with the tacos we had Mexian rice (not the dried up rice you typically get) and beans (certainly not the refried beans you get in a can). We left our plates clean and will be going...

I stopped in on a whim and wow — what a find! The fajitas were absolutely incredible — sizzling hot, bursting with flavor, and loaded with perfectly tender meat and crisp vegetables. The portions were generous, the tortillas warm and fresh, and every bite felt like comfort and celebration rolled into one.

Service was just as impressive — friendly, quick, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell the team here cares about both the food and the experience. Even the chips and salsa were a step above — fresh, bright, and full of life.

The atmosphere was cozy, colorful, and upbeat without being noisy. It felt like the kind of place you can relax, linger, and leave smiling.

Hands-down one of the best Mexican meals I’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait to come back for another round of those...

Ate here with the family on the first Friday they were open. Food was great! Ample free chips and house made salsa to start. The salsa was perfect.

They offer house made corn tortillas with thier fajitas, which I've never seen. Rice, refied beans, and quac were also house made, which was a pleasant surprise. Service was great too.
