Schlechty's Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in New Madison

Very nice pool tables. There is a group of really good pool shots' that are frequent patrons. So if you're looking for a game against some players, Schelecty's is a good choice. The bar-tender that was working when I was there was not very friendly. They acted like they were doing you a favor. Instead of realizing that you're paying for their service. Over all, I don't think I'll be back to that establishment until I can forget about the treatment of their bar -tender to me and my friends. Went for a second time since the bar changed to the new "Schelecty" name. This visit was far better than the first one. It was still a little bit more costly than most bars around the area. In addition z this list visit allowed me to meet the owner and conversate with him about the busi233ness. He was very receptive and friendly to me. Very dissapointed. We are newer to the area and love trying the local places. This will be a one and done for us unfortunately. We were told 30 minutes for our order. We got there right at 30. We were told our total was $29.18. That seemed pretty steep for just 8 boneless wings, fried mushrooms, a grilled cheese, and loaded fries but I get everything is going up right now and local places have to do what they have to do. I figured the foods gotta be great so it will be worth it. Well, we got home to luke warm soggy food. Clearly the 30 minute estimate was excessive and our food had been sitting there awhile. It was also obviously put directly into the Styrofoam piping hot with no barrier because it had melted into the Styrofoam and each bite had a terrible plastic taste. We ended up throwing almost $30 worth of food in the trash and I ended up having to cook dinner at home after already...

Ordered Chef Salad $9.00 literally recieved a Dinner sized Salad masquerading as a Chef's Salad. (NO JOKE SMALLEST CHEF SALAD I'VE EVER SEEN!) Total RIP off. I'd bet $100 the owner puts two together for their dinner. lol Still hungry I ordered 10 piece fried shrimp $10.00 literally seen larger Popcorn Shrimp. I was ashamed for them. I know times are rough but don't screw people. Went to another Restaurant few days later called Katz's Pizza in Verona, Ohio ordered Chef Salad and had a little trouble eating the whole Chef Salad due to it's large delicious size. It was $7.95 I know where I'm going from now on. I told owner I would have gladly paid another $2.00 for theirs and shared my experience from Schlechty's, so Shame on Schlechty's!
