Hmm, what to say about this place...
I was excited to try them after reading other reviews but I have to say I was a little surprised. The service was ok. It started off with them not having the beer I ordered, that was on their menu. I'll let that one slide considering all the supply chain issues. Next the food. I ordered the Redfish New Orleans, which was actually pretty good. The big problem was the green beans my son and I both ordered a a side. They were so salty that I wanted to spit them back on my plate. My son ate for a while after trying his and said everything still tasted salty to him after trying them. Neither one of us touched them again. It did take a while to get the salty taste out of my mouth. I really thought someone must have accidentally spilled salt in them or something, it was that bad.
I told the waitress that she might want to let the kitchen know. She didn't offer to bring us something different or ever mention it again. Later, the manager came by a he was checking on everyone. I told him also. He just said, "oh yeah, that's just the way she makes them". Still no offer of a different side or anything, that was it.
It's not overly expensive, but it's not a cheap place. Did not meet my...
Read moreOf all the restaurants I have been to, across 40 plus states this has to be the worst. The hostess, and waitress were very sweet, but the rest was horrible. We had to wait nearly 40 minutes, while the place was nearly empty, just to get a table. Waited another 40 minutes for an appetizer to come out. It was catfish bites, but honestly they tasted like they soaked them in toilet water and they were ridiculously chewy. After a while a little boy stopped to ask if there was anything else we needed. We jokingly responded, yeah our food. He proceeded to lecture us on the exact time it had been since we got there, along with it takes an hour to cook a hamburger as it their most difficult item to prepare. As the argument he instigated progressed, we were basically told he would love it if we would just leave. So all in all almost 2 hours of waiting for a little sweetness to ask us to leave. On the way out, we tried to speak with the owner (his father) who was in a stained t-shirt and weighed roughly 600 pounds. He shrugged his shoulders and said bye. All in all, you would be better off eating from a Porta potty. We were warned by neighbor campers to not go there, but lessons...
