Bob Evans — Restaurant in New Martinsville

I've been sick and haven't had the opportunity to stop by for months. This morning we stopped by for breakfast and after a 10 minute wait ordered our usual breakfast...The Misses 2 eggs over easy hash-browns biscuits and bacon all most burned and coffee with cream. While I had 3 eggs over easy, 3 slices of tomato, sausage pattys, home-fries, 3 biscuits and a small cup of sausage gravy for my eggs and coffee black. 25 minutes later they finally BROUGHT THE COFFEE and started to bring our breakfast... It took 3 or 4 trips for the girl to bring our food which wasn't what we ordered... Instead of a small cup of gravy she brought me a large soup bowl of gravy and diced red potatoes that tasted like they hadn't been washed!!! There is a BIG difference in home-fries and diced potatoes!!! A the wife's bacon was barely crisp. We hadn't even got the chance to sip our coffee when the girl brought a refill for our coffee... A minute later here she came again with the coffee pot... And a minute after that here she came again with the coffee pot... We had been eating here for years and NEVER had such poor service... We ate most of the whole breakfast and I kept trying to catch someones eye to finally get a refill on my coffee to no avail... My wife had finished eating and was going to step outside to burn one when they woke-up and brought the coffee pot out... I finished eating and she came back and ask if I needed anything else, I said yes more coffee and the check... She came with a refill and left... I finished my coffee and was trying to again catch someones eye to get the check and here she comes with the check and left... I looked at it and almost choked it was $30 [$29.95]!!!! The last time we were there our check was just 20 bucks!!! I got up put my jacket on left the tip and went to the check-out to pay for the meal. The girl ask me how the meal was and not wanting to make a scene, I said the cook must not know the difference in diced potatoes and home-fries or how to wash them, paid for the meal and walked out the door. My wife was sitting out side smoking and when she saw my face asked what was wrong... I told her how much our meal was she almost screamed...WHAT!!! After that piss-pore service and they charged us that much??? Well we'll not be coming back here again!!! On the way home I got angrier and ANGRIER so when I got home I got on line and sent you this... It's too bad that I cannot rate you a minus 5 stars... You lost a customer we will NOT be back!!! H. I went with my 2 kids and husband. That's 4 people. Was told it was a 15 to 20 minute wait. Gave the lady my name and how many sat down with my family to wait. Then 15 mins later another server asked me if we had our name on list i said yes she was supposed to write it down told her our name and how many for the 2nd time. She went over to paper looked and walked away. I saw 3 groups of 2 taken back that had come in after us. Then heard them tell another group come in and was told it was only a 5 to 10 minute wait. At this point we had been waiting for half an hour. Then a group of 7 comes in and gives them there name and 2 minutes later they are taking them back so I stopped them and said we had been waiting for over half an hour and our group was much smaller than there's. The other customers told them it was true we had been wait long before they got there and other family's that had been seated said same. The server had to go ask for permission to take us back to a table. And no one even said they were sorry or offered to make it right at all. Then the food we ordered was not all there and was the worst food ever served to me or my husband from them. However my 2 kids loved there meal.i do not know if it is the new staff or new cook but this was an absolutely horrible...

Our family ordered Christmas dinner the food was decent that wasn't a problem just very chinchi very greedy on the food amount we paid 160 something dollars and the ham was about seven slices maybe six it was supposed to feed from 8 to 12 people definitely not enough to feed 8 to 12 people macaroni and cheese fed six people we didn't get enough rolls we did not get the pumpkin bread at all the cranberry sauce was enough for three people the whip cream or Cool whip sorry was enough for five people definitely will not do this again but we figured why not don't mind paying that much money if it's worth it but like I said definitely not worth it but we did have a great time because we love Christmas and it was family and we were all together but will not do this again and...
