Amadeo's Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in New Mexico

I saw Antanette's review and I thought I'd add another Amadeo's customer service horror story.

You can kind of see the customer service attitude of this place in the words from Amadeo's Pizza's reply -- "I'm sorry you had service you found unacceptable. Usually, businesses will hire staff that understands how to place large orders for their business for timely delivery." That's quite passive aggressive for a business leader's reply on their own page. It does not offer sincere remorse for a bad customer service experience at all. It does not offer a solution or an improvement in process of any kind. It basically sounds like they were saying, "HEY BUDDY! #(%! YOU AND YOUR BUSINESS GO SOMEWHERE ELSE". Some things are better left unsaid.

Pros: Pizza is incredible. some of the best in town, hands down. I mean this... most pizza in ABQ stinks (tasteless crust, piss poor 'budget cheese', bland sauce, undercooked, etc). I would say this place ranks on par with JJ's or Venezia's.

Cons: Here is my actual objective customer experience

Order 1 large pie for delivery (with pineapple) Pizza arrives in standard 45 minute delivery timeframe. Open box, pizza has pepperoni. Call pizza store (I was never rude, demanding, or deceptive to the person who picked up the phone.)

Me: "Hello I ordered a large pineapple just now and it has pepperoni. Normally I wouldn't care but there are vegetarians here that can't eat it. Can I order another one without pepperoni and give this one back? I will tip the driver well."

Amadeos: "Hold on a second" [hold] Amadeos: "Ok I talked to my manager we cant take that pizza back but you can order and pay for another one."

Me: "Wait... what? I have a pizza I didn't order in front of me. I'm just trying to get what I ordered."

Amadeos: "There's no pepperoni on that pizza bro"

Me: "What? [baffled] I'm looking at it right now..... there's pepperoni on it. I haven't touched it. If you really want I can take a picture and send it to your cell phone."

Amadeos: [tone intensifies] "I made that pizza myself bro there's no pepperoni on it"

Me: "Listen I'm just trying to get what I ordered. Can you remake the pizza and I will give this one to your driver? I will even tip him again for having to come out again" Amadeos: "hold on a second"

They came back on the line and redelivered the correct pizza ~1 hour later (and was tipped again).

Bare in mind this was about 1.5 years ago from the time of this review. Chances are the kid who answered the phone is long gone but I've never got the run around like that before in my entire life. I was called a liar on the telephone OVER A FREAKIN PIZZA!! Why didn't the conversation stop the minute an issue with the order was brought up? Insanity...

Because of this experience (mostly being treated rudely and called a liar by some nolife loser wanna be thug) I will never patronize Amadeos again.

I'm giving this review 4 of 5 stars because the pizza at this place really is good. Personally for me, the taste remains too bitter to even approach.

I would recommend you give this place a shot. Just make sure to put on your thick NYC skin before you pick...

Was not impressed with the customer service we received. We ordered two pizzas ahead so they would be ready when we arrived. There was two pizzas on the oven when we arrived. The manager was rude and apparently wasn't not listening to the customers. I gave him my name a couple of times and he said our order will be ready in 30 minutes. We sat down to wait for our pizzas. We were planning to eat in but when we walked in he yelled that the dining room was closed even though it was 530 and the website stated they were closing at 730. Mt cell phone stated that me order was ready so I went up inquire about it and he atated that it wasn't and he turned off the notifications. Then they said that we could eat there and brought out the wrong order. The order was for Brenda. We went and informed him that that was not our order and that we had two pizzas. He went back and the two pizzas that had been sitting on the oven for 30 minutes now since we arrived were our puzzas. Very disappointed with the customer service and rudeness that we...

Where do I start? While I’m waiting to order, I take my daughter to the bathroom, roaches along the entrance to kitchen, roach in the bathroom, along with a spider . Since I already ordered I was grossed out to eat. But I put that aside in hopes the food would be good, nope.. Then I get burnt wings, bbq sauce tasted burnt, they were dry and I love wings but I did not finish them. Not to mention I was supposed to get 6 and I got 5. They looked nothing like the picture. Pizza looked like it was warmed up after sitting there for so long. I saw the people who ordered after me and there pizza and cheese on top looked white and fresh and pizza was fluffy and mine did not look like that. I was disappointed. I was raised “you get what you get and don’t throw a fit” so I did not say anything, but if I would have I definitely would have asked for a refund. I never leave reviews but felt like I needed to for future visitors. Would not recommend this location, nor would be returning. I tried to take pictures for reference.
