agreeing with the review below our christmas dinner was a bust. i’m a waitress myself, i’ve been in the industry myself 6+ years and my mother who dined with me has been in the industry all her life as well. when running a limited menu each dish should be on par, and 4/4 meals were a fail. starting positive we got the calamari which was well prepared, as well as the wings. the wings were gamey and greasy but i understand this might of been locally sourced chicken. my mother loved them and i can’t comment since i’m a pescatarian. mine and my mothers drinks were amazing! but this is where the positives stopped. our food took a long time which is fine with us but with what we were given it makes the wait all the more sour. mine was sub par the chefs pasta with sun dried tomatoes instead i was served mushy store bought tomatoes. (if that’s the case adjust the menu) my mother ordered the chilean sea bass and her rosetto was under cooked and mushy the fish was over cooked. my sister ordered the ribeye with potatoes and told me the potatoes tasted like “dirt” yikes. maybe they needed better washing. her steak was extremely fatty and a poor cut of meat. my brother got the christmas surf and turf his lobster tail was done well but his steak was extremely fatty. my mother ordered a simple flatbread as a replacement and it came out looking like a tony’s frozen pizza. our waiter was well attentive in the beginning but as our meal went downhill he seemed to ghost us until we had to ask the food runner for the manager. we assured him the drinks and my pasta were good, my brothers lobster tail, and that the rest failed expectations. he was defensive and we didn’t get a single apology. telling us the cuts of meat weren’t as good right now. he took the plates and walked away. if that’s the case please express this to your customers prior. he split my siblings dishes in half, not comping them fully. we still paid well for barely eating. we came in wanting dessert but passed after our experience. now i understand staffing is short, people are tired, it’s a holiday, etc. but your menu and prices should reflect if you aren’t able to give a good experience. i wished i had read the reviews prior to coming. i also wish the manager had done better. been kinder, offered better, apologized… etc. but maybe we caught him on a bad day! either way we will not be returning. you’ll have better luck at the...
Read moreWe came for the Christmas Dinner of which I find only few could afford. We were seated by a very cordial waiter. His attentiveness was fabulous. That's where the experience ended in a positive direction. The only thing hot was the coffee.... The pasta was par boiled at best. The filet minion dinner was prepared properly, with little attention payed to the remaining items being warm . Marcos our waiter really did his best to make our experience pleasant, however there is only so much he had control of. If you open a restaurant with a limited menu, there is absolutely no excuse for anything short of perfection. I came in prepared to spend 200.00-300.00 for dinner. After waiting an inexcusable 45 minutes for our food. I left feeling as though Denny's could easily prove to be a formidable foe. Sorry Denny's! We had to request a table appetizer of which was 4 dinner rolls normally at the price of $2.50 per roll. (Cold as well). These were donated by staff. Needless to say after a brief yet informative conversation with the on duty manager, we were comped for three of the four meals. Mind you two and a half were rejected and not eaten. It really is a tragedy to see Christmas Dinner end in such a disaster. Funny I immediately felt like Clark W Griswold. I don't blame staff or kitchen chef's for this evenings disaster. With the following exception: The wait staff has the responsibility of not delivering food to the table when it's clearly not presentable. It truly lies on the shoulders of management. There's obviously a disconnect when Leadership is not at the helm. (Suggestion) When presenting a four star atmosphere and three star 🌟 pricing on Christmas day, Keep one manager in the kitchen and one on the floor. Success is solely dependent...
Read moreMy husband surprised me with reservations here, however, he is not an avid reviewer, but I am. After reading soo many bad reviews I was nervous, so I went in with an open mind. Here are my results:
4 stars = I’m a fan and would go back to try something else on the menu
The criteria includes the food itself, the service, and the ambience.
Steak was well grilled, and what we asked for, medium well. Delicious with the demi sauce. The mashed potatoes needed to be mashed a little bit more, it was very clumpy. The sautéed carrots were too hard for my liking. At least the steak it was good.
Red sage greens 🥬 salad was good. Not worth $20, perhaps 10, but the vinegrette was nice, salad was a little bit on the dry side- could use more coating in this vinegrette.
Flat bread was delicious and the seasoning on it was very yummy. Was not a fan of the duck meat on it, but at least the hubby liked it.
Get the crème brûlée- yummy! The berries on it as a fresh and nice touch!
Service was good, fast, and attentive.
Ambience was good looking. It was St. Patrick’s weekend, so I was confused and not really into the Christmas decorations on the ceiling. I appreciate sitting in the booth and it was nice to have a view of the kitchen.
Overall, the food was very good however somethings on the menu we’re not worth $20 like the flatbread or the salad. I’m surprised the steak was good.
We are a fan and would come back here to try some thing new on the menu.
Why the missing star? Overpriced on certain things that didn’t meet up to its...
