I have now officially been to all the major barbecue places in New Orleans Metro. Cochon King is hands down the best.

Others have good barbecue and decent sides or vice versa. This place has both good BBQ and GREAT sides.

I like to judge my barbecue places on their brisket. Cochon King has the perfect brisket. You can ask for lean or fatty, but it doesn't matter. Both are outstanding.

I didn't get to try the pulled pork this time as they had run out by the time I got there. But I've had it before and it is always juicy and perfectly smoked & spiced.

But what sets Cochon King apart is its sides. Every side I have ever gotten there is perfection! Their Smoky beans put everyone else's to shame. Their mac and cheese has a kick to it that is incredible! If you like mustard-based potato salad, this is your place to go. Their french fries are perfectly spiced. As an aside, the fries are not as good if you take them to go. They are perfect if you eat them there.

The people are always super nice when you come in. The atmosphere is sort of down home, so don't expect upper class tablecloths, but that's not why we go there, is it?

I can see why Cochon King has won awards. Their food is outstanding and always first rate. I would put them up against any barbecue place in the city of...

I couldn't wait to eat before taking pictures, my apologies.

This place has some of the best brisket, pulled pork and chicken I have ever gotten from a restaurant. The sausage is dang good too. It is contest level BBQ but at a restaurant.

This place is one of few restaurants I would eat at twice while vacationing. This is one of the places I will be coming back to NOLA for.

The brisket is the best I have had from a restaurant, hands down. It has the texture of properly cooked short rib; the meat's sticky, juicy, and mouth watering. The rub used is flavorful but not overpowering the meat and smoke. The brisket stands on its own without any sauce, but the sauce is a perfect compliment of sweet heat and vinegar to bring it up a notch.

The pulled pork is juicy and tender. The wings are sticky from the juices. The sausage has a good snap and tons of flavor. The chili has the right amount of heat and is one of the best I have had with tons of meat in it.

The ribs were amazing and had tons of smoke. They were the only ribs I have bought that can keep up with what I make at home for myself.

This place cares about the food they make and they have earned their 5.0. A rarity and a treasure. If you haven't tried their food, do it. You...

We recently had Cochon King BBQ cater a gathering at our home, and everything was fantastic from start to finish. The food arrived hot and fresh—perfectly packed, complete with paper towels, utensils, and all the little details handled.

The quality? Top-notch. The portions? Generous—everyone left full and happy, and we even had leftovers to send home with guests. That housemade BBQ sauce was insanely good—seriously, we wanted to drink it.

Favorites included the smoked ribs (my personal obsession), brisket, crawfish mac & cheese, and smoked wings—all expertly cooked and seasoned. We can’t wait to use them again for our next event and will be heading to their Gentilly location ASAP.

Hot damn, Cochon King—we are fans...

Read this afternoon that Concho King was rated as one of the best Hole in the Wall BBQ Restaurants in New Orleans so I decided to visit. Such an unassuming place. I got out of the car and Smelled the smoker going. I had to try a rib so I ordered 1. It was great! And also ordered 1 Smoked Boudin link. Just the right amount of heat. I then saw and had to order the Grentilly Rubin with Brisket Dirty Rice and the Pepper Jack Mac. Everything was Exceptional. The Staff was so friendly. I'll definitely be coming back to Eat there again!

Went to Cochon today for the first time. Their barbecue is bland. The barbecue sauce is highly vinegary, no barbecue flavor. Baked beans have red beans in them. Took red beans out tasted and it was bland as well, just a little spicy. Got the Brussel sprouts, they were fried whole with no flavor. I had to add honey, garlic, and red pepper flakes.this is my red pepper sauce to shake the sprouts in and one of their red beans I took out of the baked beans. This place was very nasty. They can close up
