Filmore in the Oaks — Restaurant in New Orleans

We went there for the Mother’s Day brunch. It was nothing short of exceptional. The smiling faces of the staff and the friendly, helpful service they gave was great.

The place was decorated for the Mother’s Day occasion with a large balloon display and elegant flower arrangements on each table. We asked to sit outside on the back porch. The manager brought a floral arrangement out to make sure our table was festive for the occasion.

The creative spread of food was too much to eat in 3 visits to the buffet lol! And everything was delicious. I loved the corn and crab bisque, blackened fish, and the shrimp pasta the most. For dessert, we enjoyed the carrot cake and my mom had 2 Sundaes! The waffles with ice-cream was a nice treat to indulge in as well.

The scenery was perfect for the day for lots of photo ops.

To top it off, they gave us roses to take home.

I like attending events at this event space. The staff is professional, the space is always clean, the atmosphere is always popping! This is exactly where to go for a great time! I didn't give five stars due to the bar. The bar experience is always laughable. They over fill EVERY cup with ice which means less alcohol and if you don't drink fast, it means an extremely watered down drink. My family and I went here for a recent Father's Day brunch. WOW....the food is always on point, staff was very accommodating for a large party and the view is amazing. The room is all windows and you look out over the putting green. On the back porch you can simply sit back and sip on a cocktail and enjoy a lazy day in New Orleans. Tons of parking. Bathroom is immaculate and pro shop has everything needed.
