Yumi Sushi & Hibachi — Restaurant in New Orleans

I decided to re-visit this restaurant yesterday for some hot sake after a hard day of work. (I had visited here a few days before but it wasn't for me I was picking up an order for somewhere else. I was impressed that the sushi person offered me a little sample of some of their food while I waited so I decided that I would return) I sat down at the sushi station and I was greeted by the server. I told her that I would be dining in she gave me a menu. I ordered water with lemon & the steak and chicken hibachi. After maybe 5 minutes she brought me my check as if I was going to run out of the restaurant or something so I just overlooked it and I ordered my sake. She then bought my food out in bags after I told her that I was dining in she apologized and asked me was it okay if I ate my food out of the styrofoam plate I said yes it's fine. When I opened the food I saw that it had sesame seeds on it which may have been my fault and maybe I overlooked it when I was reading the menu. I didn't want the sesame seeds but I let her know that it was ok. I just scraped them off the food. Now mind you I had not received any napkins from the time I sat down & ordered the water with lemon so I decided to ask for some. She gave me one napkin. I understand inflation is going on and things are more expensive but if the customer asks for napkins giving them one napkin is ridiculous. The server then asked me about the check again which made me feel like she was trying to rush me out of the restaurant after the one napkin thing I was like whatever I paid my check but I made sure I asked for another napkin and she did give me one more napkin. It was at that point that I decided I would never return. I can get my sake somewhere else, not be rushed to pay my check in a matter of minutes of sitting down and possibly get more than one napkin...

Family oriented and a lively atmosphere! To create such a unique and creative meal is an amazing experience. You can customize any roll to your liking. We had a Valentine Roll with cream cheese which was stunning and delicious. I had the Okinawa roll as is. Both were beautifully plated and the chef is very nice; he puts love into each meal he creates. If you read this your kids were so cute and such great little helpers! The desserts were good too! We ordered the matcha mochi which tasted on point and a creamy cheesecake tempura (I didn't get a pic of that one, my b). I had never eaten here before so i was unsure at first but when I got my order I knew the sushi was about to be so delicious. I will definitely be a return customer. The tuna cake was my favorite.
