Update: A few months later, my 5-star rating for Little Lan's still stand. If Google allows us to give out 6 stars to highly exceptional businesses, I would hand it out to Little Lan's. So if you are on the fence about trying Little Lan's, I highly recommend you give it a try.
Here's a helpful tip that I didn't mention in my original review: Little Lan's offers the option of brown rice, which is something you don't often see at Chinese restaurants. It's their attention to little things that make them stand out and unique in a very good way. Even the white rice at Little Lan's is soft and fluffy, not dry and hard like some Chinese restaurants.
The staff at Little Lan's are also very friendly. During one of my visits when I arrived a little early for my carryout order, I overheard their staff very patiently explaining their menu to a customer over the phone. He even offered the customer the option of customizing their order to accommodate them.
I literally cannot find anything negative to feedback on with Little Lan's. Their food is consistent and consistently good. It's truly a reliable restaurant to patronize if you are looking for good quality food. Original review: Little Lan's is a little gem in the area. Their food is consistently good and the kitchen has been able to make accommodations upon request. Their staff is friendly and remembers customers' names and their regular, go-to order, if they have one, after only a few visits. Little Lan's really has a friendly, homey neighborhood restaurant kind of vibe. They have been around for 1992 for a reason – or rather, many good reasons.
I have had their Potstickers, Mongolian Beef, Stir-fried Pork with Vegetables, and Shrimp with Asparagus and Peapod, and am looking forward to exploring other dishes on their menu. My friend especially likes their Hot and Sour Soup. I have zero complaints and highly recommend Little Lan's if you are in the area and looking for good...
Read moreSo I have supported this place all through Covid. Always tipped 15% on all orders I pick up. So we ordered Garlic Shrimp, and it was total mush! Could not eat it! So I called the restaurant and simply said “we really didn’t enjoy this dish, please just give us a credit on our next order.” My total bill was $126.00. The woman owner decided to defend her dish, and tell me that the shrimp prices are very expensive, and no to a refund. So I got back in the car, drove the 15 mins to take it back. No apology, totally unacceptable reasoning. So Little LANs I cancelled the entire check, plus the 15% tip, and you will never see us again, and I truly hope you learn from this. DO NOT EAT HERE! DO NOT SUPPORT THE...
Read moreWow this was bad. Just received a delivery order and am so disappointed. The fried rice is a mushy mess of soft rice, boiled pork, and way too much egg added in. The whole texture is like scrambled eggs, not sure what was fried. The pan noodle is more boiled pork and spaghetti noodles. I am assuming the orange chicken sauce was made from orange juice, it was thin and acidic. Crab Rangoon was fried a few times too many but the filling was decent. And the Szechuan beef was decent but salty. Overall, a waste of $90, and I'm not happy to leave such a bad review for a local business, but this was...
