Frankies Bar and Grill — Restaurant in New Windsor

Tonight was the first experience I had with this place. I called in a carryout order for my boyfriend and I, it was my treat to him for Father's Day this year. So I guess you could say this meal was more important than any other dinner meal. I called it in around 8:00pm, then after taking care of a few things we headed over to get our food right around 9:00pm. Environment was relaxed, workers were friendly. We got home and settled in, started opening up our food and realized a few things were missing. Ultimately I decided to call and let them know about our missing items. After being on the phone for a short time, the girl I was speaking with handed the phone over to the Owner, Betty. I then explained to her what was going on and I must say, I haven't experienced such kindness in a very long time. Betty was there to listen to what I was saying, she trusted that I was being honest about the food I was missing. Not only did Betty refund me for the entire bill....she went as far as having her Husband deliver the food that was missing to my home address at 10:00pm ON FATHER'S DAY! AND THAT'S NOT ALL! Once we got back inside with the food, my boyfriend opens everything up and they had given us extra large sizes of what was missing before AND a special dessert for the trouble!!! If you’re a fan of bold flavors, expertly grilled meats, and a warm, rustic atmosphere — this grill restaurant is an absolute must-visit. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the mouthwatering aroma of wood-fired goodness and a friendly, attentive staff that made me feel right at home.

I ordered the smoked ribeye and it was hands-down one of the best steaks I’ve ever had — juicy, tender, perfectly seasoned, and cooked exactly to order. The grill char added that perfect smoky crust without overpowering the meat. Sides like the garlic mashed potatoes and charred asparagus were just as impressive, clearly made with fresh ingredients and great attention to detail.

The craft cocktail list was a pleasant surprise, and the smoked old fashioned paired beautifully with the meal. The dessert? A grilled peach cobbler served warm with vanilla bean ice cream. Unreal.

The ambiance was cozy but energetic, with an open flame grill on display that added to the experience without being too loud or overwhelming.

What a nightmare visit. Couldn't make a basic mixed drink. Half the stuff on menu wasn't available. Waitress played on her phone behind bar whole time while we needed refills. The cheesesteak was plain tasting. Then our loaded nachos didn't have the meat on them. They never offered to take some money off the bill or get us some pulled pork to make it right. Then when go to pay know one knew what to do. The computer for the food wouldn't link to the one for the bar. The register Drawer on the food system computer was locked and empty. Another customer gave the waitress change to break my $50. Which she then says your bill was 36 and change let's say $40 and call it even. How about let's say $30 and call it even since your cook messed up...
