Great pizza!! It's nice to have a new pizza place that has a different taste that isn't like any other around. I'll definitely be going back. Only hiccup is the advertised price on the website. From what I understand though that's an issue that they aren't able to control. I do think $14.50 for a large pepperoni pizza is a better price point. When the price for a large pepperoni goes above that it just seems like one debates on do they really want to spend that much on a pizza or just get it from some place else or something else all together.

I got a pepperoni pizza and their garlic cheese bread. The pizza was way over sauced and greasy for my taste, and the garlic cheese bread looked nothing like the website and I honestly didn’t even want to eat it. It looked over cooked and hardly any cheese. I was super disappointed :(

Heard a lot about DeFelice and we finally had an opportunity to try it! We really enjoyed the pizza, it was definitely saucy. Only downfall was the cost - seemed a little on the pricey side. Overall, we were happy and will likely order again!

Edit: Response to Owner I'm not sure why the dramatics involving my name? Are you the FBI or a pizza shop? Not everyone uses their name for their handle. My name is irrelevant regarding the service I received. Since it has already been months ago this occurred, I fixed the situation myself... I stopped giving you business. Best Regards

Busted. You weren't going to fool everyone. Maybe most, but not all are asleep... I absolutely LOVED this place. It was a tradition to take our family here. We would drive 45 min to and from just for this pizza. Maybe once a week give or take. I used to tell everyone how good it was and to try it out. After the last two times, I received a completely different pizza. I usually order the thick crust because it's my favorite part. It's now thin, anywhere from a 3/8 to 1/4 of an inch. Used to be about an inch or more. When I asked why, they blamed it on a "new guy" and apologized with refund. Order again... same exact thing. No, it's not the "new guy" it's the cheapskate cheating every customer hoping we don't notice you cutting corners to make more profit with the economy we're in. You lost a customer and I hope you lose more. We deserve better than that. You should look into ethics and morality. Clearly money rules you, but you can't take it with you. Sad this is how you choose it to be. That's just a pizza my mind.... ;) Please do better and bring back the pizza we...

My family grew up eating DeFelice pizza! Every time I go home or my parents come to Columbus they bring me DeFelice pizza! My husband grew up in Columbus and loves my hometown pizza! We were in Newark for a visit and we decided to try the DeFelice in Newark on our drive back. The pizza was ready before the quoted time which was great! It tasted just like home! The crust, sauce and cheese were so delicious even after driving back 30 minutes. My favorite is the sauce and my husband loves the crust. It was consistent and tasted just like other DeFelice stores back home in the valley. The owner who is also from the valley was so kind! We bought a cookie for our toddler and he gave it to us for free. He definitely gave “small town” service and I could tell he really cares about his customers and pizza shop. Our only hope is that you open a DeFelice closer to the Columbus area! It was so nice having the best pizza in the valley available in Newark! We will definitely be back to visit the next time we...

I gave them a second try this past weekend, as the first time was when they first opened and was understandably not to par quite yet. Well, I am glad I did. Now I will preface this by saying I enjoy a thicker crust pizza once in a while. The pan fried thick crust is very similar to the style you would get at Pizza Hut back in the day but only waaaay better. The crust was still airy and easy to eat while providing an excellent crunch. The sauce was a little more present than on many pizzas but it paired very well with the thicker crust to keep the pizza from being dry. The cheese was melted to perfection and all the toppings were clearly fresh. I had the “Defilice Brothers’ Special” and the toppings were perfectly balanced. I will definitely be going back to try...
