New Number One - Newark — Restaurant in Newark

Ordered online for our first visit and it wasn’t quite ready when we arrived but they were especially busy. Got home with the food…sesame chix, chix and snow peas, egg rolls, and wonton soup and opened container to find it looked surprisingly good. I must say this will be our new go-to spot in Newark for Chinese. No more driving into Wilmington for good takeout. The chicken was perfectly saucy and seasoned and exactly what we wanted. Egg rolls were crispy and tender inside and super fresh. For as busy as they were and for it to still come out PERFECTLY is super impressive. I strongly recommend. We stuck with classic orders we knew we would enjoy but in the future will surely try new dishes. Don’t be intimidated by the lack of decoration! ...

If I could give zero stars, I would. The restaurant sent part of my order (which was mediocre tasting at best). I called the restaurant to tell them my meal was missing. Their first response was that they purposefully did not include the item because I had “too many allergies checked off (shellfish). When I asked why they did not contact me to alert me and allow me to choose a safer option, they told me they “couldn’t” and repeatedly said that I would have to take it up with Uber eats (who luckily had great customer service) if I had a problem. We have been getting our Chinese food from Here for years. The food is excellent! We never go anywhere else. And I really like the lady that works there. She’s so nice.
