Casa Mia on the Hill — Restaurant in Newington

I can't say enough about my wedding venue. My mom had the idea to check it out, as the website advertised it as a "hidden gem". Boy, was that accurate. I can't tell you how many wedding guests commented on how delicious the food was. For our rehearsal dinner and wedding day, the food was outstanding. I communicated for a few months with Aida, but on the wedding day we were mostly taken care of by Yvette, Helen, and Lynda. They tended to our every need, and we got to know them throughout the day - almost felt like they were aunts or part of the family. Food was served to us piping hot, and my husband didn't get to have much of the appetizers (the mac and cheese balls) that he was so looking forward to - so they were heated up once again and brought to our sweetheart table as a personal plate for him. He was in his glory! We did pies for the wedding, instead of cake. I assumed that someone would ask us which of the four pies we wanted, then would bring it to us with our ice cream on the side. When Yvette served us our own beautiful platter with a slice of each pie, all decorated for us, it was so overwhelmingly delicious and amazing, I almost wanted to cry! Never would have expected that, but they rose to the occasion themselves. These are the nicest, sweetest people, who cook the finest food. Until I see them again, I'll be thinking of what kind of event I could have there...

Absolutely beautiful place!🩷 We had our wedding reception here and everyone kept telling us how gorgeous it looked. Even more than that though, people couldn’t stop talking about how friendly the staff was and how amazing the food tasted. You sometimes hear things about wedding food not being great for the price, but that definitely wasn’t the case here, everything was fresh and delicious and if I will say, pretty good for the amount spent compared to other places. A few of our guests even said they’d love to have their wedding here too! Marie and Ivette were such a huge help, and my mom especially appreciated their kindness and support throughout the night. Atmosphere and Service were very good. I have been to this Establishment many times and It's always have a very good meal and I will go back.

With that said I only gave them Four Stard for the following reasons, there were four of us; one of the meals was a Beef dish it was ordered medium rare and served on the plus side of medium.

I had ordered a Meatball grinder that was very dry the extra sauce did not help the meatballs were over cooked presumably from when they toasted it to melt the cheese.

In their defense they did offer to make me another one but at that point I was no longer hungry.

Now I'm not a Martini person but their Pistachio Martini is the best. So even though I hit them a little hard this time they are normally very good and...
