I usually eat at Nicholas with co worker but this experience will be my last with them. During our lunch we all decided to get tacos from this establishment. We order crunchy BEEF tacos over the phone. The girl on the phone was very rude and was rushing me off the phone. Once we received our delivery and left a nice tip as we usually do. We noticed that we received steak tacos. We call to get this rectified and the owner of the store wanted to argue what was said even though he wasn’t the one that took the order. He told us since HE didn’t hear me say beef tacos we would have to go the store and pick them up even though we had originally had it delivered. As i walk into the store the manger tells me “next time your order make sure you get the right things because you can’t just change your mind last minute” i calmly said sir this is the order we placed maybe there was a miscommunication but we don’t eat steak crunchy tacos. He then started speaking in Spanish in front of me to his daughter about me and then said now i have to throw this out Bc you don’t know what you want. If you respect yourself enough please stay away from this terrible place that’s supposed lacking in basic customer service. They’ve lost...
Read moreI've passed this spot hundreds of times but decided to give it a try. Firstly, I felt like I was bothering them when I walking in. No hello, no greeting at all as the young girl at the front looked directly at me and proceeded to turn the menu backlights off. I had to ask if I could order or were they closed. After getting the ok from her boss, I was allowed to order. I ordered the chicken taco salad and the barbacoa taco. I was excited about the taco because some of the reviews bragged on them. The taco was meh.... the flavors were there but the meat was overcooked and dry. This may be because they were closing soon and I got the scraps. I felt like I was biting into a leather belt. It wasn't shredded it was in one clump. And the taco shell was a bit over cooked. But the flavors were there. The taco salad was good but I had to knock down a few stars because the shell was very overcooked and eating the shell with the salad is part of the experience. I want to give this place another try but the overall attitude of the is off putting 😕 I don't want to feel unwelcomed at a business where I'm spending my hard...
Read moreFrom the shabby appearance of this hole-in-the-wall establishment, the placement next to a simple convenient store, and the oddly paired foods in its name you would never guess that Nicolas Pizza & Mexican Eatery is any good. I'll be the first to admit I definitely judged. But to my surprise their food is crafted well, tastes very authentic, and is overall really good. Upon my first visit I tried the chicken burrito and as an avid burrito-eater I was very pleased! Clean cut and simple, but very authentic. The following week my curiosity got the best of me and I was visiting again for a large pizza, half cheese, half clams casino. I would NEVER normally eat clams casino pizza because to me clams and pizza should never be spoken in the same sentence, but boy was I pleased! Salty, savory, and cheesey. Couldn't ask for more. A hole in the wall for sure, but with great integrity and delicious food. I'd say Nicolas Pizza & Mexican Eatery is a great asset to...
