TidePoole's — Restaurant in Newport Beach

I am a local gal who has been wanting to stop by this neighborhood small deli/restaurant eatery for many years now but never did! Until yesterday! I invited my husband Tommy to meet me at Tidepools for lunch date, and so we met there at 2:30 pm! It was a date!

We were greeted by warm and friendly staff with a smile from Chad and Baron! We felt so welcomed! I had looked at the reviews, and one caught my eye from Jerry F. His review was great, and so was his recommendation of the "Big Blake pastrami sandwich!" My husband and I took that recommendation and ordered two of the "Big Blake" and" Oh my gosh......IT WAS AMAZING! " FULL OF FLAVORS that I had never tasted in a pastrami sandwich ever! I had a honey lager beer 🍺 to compliment my sandwich, and my husband had a Coca-Cola.

As we were getting ready to tell Baron and their other staff member Joe goodbye and thank them for such a great experience, Baron asked me if I would like to try their new creamery ice cream on the house? They are adding as new venture and partnership with the creamery company that is a local company. We'll, of course, we were touched and gladly accepted! We had the Double Dark Chocolate, Salted Peanut Butter, and the Fudge Peanut Butter flavors! So delicious, and you could taste the homemade quality!

We will definitely be back as regulars! Give them a try! You won't leave...

FRESH. DELICIOUS. LOCAL. Tidepoole’s is the place to go in Newport / South Huntington Beach for delicious food made with fresh ingredients served by thoughtful staff. The owner & his mom are so kind & engaging with their customers. If you come before noon, highly recommend the wakey wakey breakfast burrito (best in Orange County). They have a good selection of gourmet pizzas, tasty deli sandwiches, fresh salads & appetizers. Our family of 9 really enjoyed the crispy brussel sprouts, Poole Boys pizza & the award winning Big Blake sandwich. Our older kids really enjoyed the scenic patio seating out back while my wife and I enjoyed the comfortable indoor seating. We will be back! Highly recommend Tidepoole’s if you’re in Orange...

My experience at TidePooles was satisfying, ordering the sunrise breakfast burrito. A friend of mine was with me who brought a dog, and we were able to sit in their back patio area. The patio is a bit underwhelming with kid like seating, uncomfortable picnic style tables albeit it fake grass was a hit for the dog so there's that. The food made up for its patio decor, which I would have to say, was one of the best burritos I've had in a long time. Very clean and not overdone with cheese, the guacamole and hashbrowns were the perfect blend. You can tell alot about a place when you take a look at their bathroom which was well maintained and large. I'll be going back soon, for the food not...
