This is not only one of my favorite restaurant's in NEPA but makes my top ten list for the whole country!!!! Another Google review on here made a point to state he was from out of the area and said this area is use to subpar food. I've had the opportunity to bring lots of co-workers from across the country to Marty's for dinner since our corporate training center for Benco Dental is located in NEPA and all of them still talk about their great food and experience years later. In my early 20's I visited New Orleans and I never had a taste for any type of fish. But friends knew I liked spicy food so they convinced me to try Blackened Cajun Catfish. I loved it but once I returned to NEPA I wondered where I'd ever get anything close to what I had in New Orleans. A friend suggested for me to try Marty's Blue Room. I remember going there for wings and burgers in high school but didn't know they made great Cajun food. Not only was my Blackened Cajun Catfish as good as what I had in New Orleans but I actually enjoyed it more. Another one of fav's here is when the owner has special Cajun sausage shipped in from New Orleans and it's mixed in a creamy Cajun Alfredo sauce. The other great experience I have with Marty's is their Scallops. I have tried scallops at several places locally and when on vacation and was never a big fan. Then I tried them at Marty's and they were most tender, melt in my mouth scallops I've ever had. I can honestly say I've never been disappointed with anything I've had here. My only disappointment is I work in the NY area now and can't get to dinner here as often as I'd like. Let me point out if you don't like Cajun that's fine as there are plenty of other great dishes to choose from and I've had plenty of friends and co-workers enjoy their steaks and other seafood plates without any Cajun seasoning. You...

I believe I saw that Marty's Blue Room opened in 1984 (correct me if I'm wrong, I may be off). Parking is a problem but there's a reason everyone continues to return- the food is that good. Cozy setting, reservations encouraged...a little slow with service but they WERE busy... and very courteous. I never tried escargot (yep, snails) up to this point, but I decided if I was going to at all, it should be at a place that was reputable, and not get the build your own style from a big box store. I actually liked them! Served with melted butter, super fresh lemon, and a huge chunk of tasty bread to soak it all up! I also tried the crawfish tails, not many places have them. I asked for "medium spicy" but they were toward the hot end of the spectrum, no matter, they were excellent! Mississippi Mud Bugs in spicy sauce... with, yep, you guessed it- more buttered bread. I consumed so much butter I would have impressed the creamery! My favorite drink was one of their featured apple cider cocktails. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try his food also (heh heh), southern fried haddock very good, hefty portion, not too salty like so many other places. Fresh cut fries- yum. Caesar salad- ditto. Can't say more there. Would recommend for a splurge anytime, or just an appetizer or dessert otherwise. I was disappointed we couldn't fit any sweets, because they have bananas foster. BOOM. Have to go...

Until very recently I had never even heard of Marty's Blue Room. A coworker had recommended it to me saying it was his tried and true favorite place to go for a spectacular out of this world dinner that is set in a casual, relaxed environment. Taking his advice very seriously I decided to see what the hype was all about. Driving through the streets of Nanticoke I finally come across Marty's Blue Room. It isn't a grand flashy elegant looking location, but don't let the exterior fool you. The interior is a nice hardwood finished setting but that isn't even the best part. The food is absolutely stellar. I have never eaten food as tasty and delicious as I have at Marty's. I ordered an appetizer of wings with Cajun sauce, as well as the cajun chicken and pasta dish that was absolutely incredible. The pasta came with two sides. I ordered cajun mashed potatoes and cajun french fries which were incredible. Honestly words don't do justice to how good the food was. Not to mention our waitress was very involved and constantly checking on us to make sure our food was good, that our drinks were full, and if we needed anything else at all she was always nearby to ask. By far the nicest restaurant I have been to in the area. I will be recommending this to anyone looking for a nice...

You Need To Know? Had 5:45 reservations on a Friday night & we were seated immediately in this cozy establishment. It was busy, so interaction with staff was limited as they were on the move. We ordered the 20 oz prime rib with au just sauce & roasted garlic. Also had the chicken Patrick which was Parmigiano encrusted chicken over a bed of pasta with melted cheese. Our third order was a chicken cordon blue in a Cajun hot sauce. The food portion sizes are enormous & the flavors in the sauces was spectacular. The prime rib was tender & cooked perfectly. The chicken was cooked on an open flame having great grill flavors. This little spot in Nanticoke is a gem & highly recommended. Now You Know! -TBH

This place has been here a very long time, and there's a reason why. The food!!! Huge steaks, seafood, cajun jambalaya, and crawfish tails, to name a few. It is a very unique place. Check out our pics of dinner. Hopefully, they will make you hungry for a reservation, which is recommended. We had reservations here on New Years Eve. The portions are large, and they never disappoint. Service by Alexis was fantastic. Everyone is very friendly and they attend to your needs. They have a full bar and local craft beer. It's a great local restaurant that everyone should come to at least once in their lifetime or "millions" of times like us. Thank you for another great evening, Marty's.

Very impressed by this place. I did not expect to get this great of food and service. It’s pricey but the food was delicious, beers good, and fast service. We got the Yuengling Hershey’s Chocolate porter, crab dip, prime rib, and the seafood sampler. It was all very good! The salad was just a side salad and that was even a big portion. I also love that their straws are eco-friendly! We had a great experience and can’t wait to come back again.
