Brock's Deli — Restaurant in Newport

They have good subs which I have always liked and they wear gloves, hair nets, and other protective gear when preparing your food and you get to stand right there and watch them make it if you wish to do so, you can see everything so I like that. People who aren't from here and who have never heard of or ate Brocks might not know they saturate their subs with this special mixture of oil they have which it doesn't taste like vegetable oil because that is disgusting but another kind of oil not sure what and it's actually really good but some people may not like that so tell them NO OIL and if your not crazy about onions then I would tell them go light light on the onion because they load onions down on them too which I normally am not that crazy about onions but theirs on their subs are okay but I wouldn't eat them if you aren't going straight home where you can access your tooth brush and mouth wash immediately or you will be knocking folks out with your onion...

I’m a regular customer at brocks. I always have the same order. This now makes the second bad experience the first was about a month ago I came in after a long hard day and ordered 1 tuna sub Swiss cheese only, I get home mind you I live way out I have a chicken salad sub, I called and the man said yes I know I have you the wrong one come back and we will switch out I drove all the way back there and my sub wasn’t even ready that’s not counting my food wasn’t ready the first time so I waited about 40 minutes on them to get my food right. Tonight I ordered two tuna subs Swiss cheese only drive all the way back home again and I got two subs with tuna and American cheese. I called and she wants me to drive all the way back? And is saying I didn’t specifically say Swiss cheese and hung up on me!!. This place is bad for business and will...

Our party of three had an outstanding lunch at Brox market. My daughter had a delicious wrap. My friend Thom had a fat boy burger, which was a tremendous looking double-decker burger. I had a fish sandwich, which had a very generous size piece of fish, with lettuce and tomato and tartar sauce. I also had a side of their cheese and broccoli soup.
