We used to always love this place- it was our go-to breakfast spot. We have been coming since they first opened and have watched the service slip over time. We will not come back. The current wait staff is rude and inefficient. We sat for 10 minutes at the table and didn’t even get a menu. When we requested one- pointing out we had been waiting - we were told, in a very rude and condescending sneer- they could have left us standing in the doorway. I had enough and told him that we were not staying and we left. As a juxtaposition- we left the diner and went down the road. As the waitress promptly greeted us and walked us to a table she asked if we wanted coffee. She left us with menus and went to get our coffees. Within 15 minutes we have been seated, had coffee and had our meals. While the variety isn’t as great as the diner the service more than made up for it. We always tip 20 to 30% of our bill we’re not going to give it to somebody who won’t acknowledge us when we walk in the door, leaves us sitting with no acknowledgement and is then rude. Our last several visits have all been sub par from a service perspective. The last time, my husband wanted to leave before our orders were in. I convinced him to stay because the food is good. His reason- We had been seated, the waitress asked if we wanted coffee, we said yes. 15 minutes after we were seated with our menus she came back for the order with no coffee. Then he ordered chocolate chip pancakes, and got blueberry pancakes and we never got a coffee refill before we finished our meals. I really hope the owner figures out that his service team is driving away business. We get that it’s hard to find help these days, but allowing service like what was happening recently , including from your manager is going to drive this...
Read moreMe and my wife go there all the time for breakfast. When you go in there is a sign that says take a seat. The place is the size of a postage stamp with three small sections sectioned off so on this particular day when we went in there , there wasn’t very many customers and they had everyone in one of the smaller sections, so I wanted to sit in a different one with my wife, so we could be alone. But evidently the server who can barely make it through the doors, had a problem with us sitting in that section and told us we couldn’t , so we left because there is plenty of other diners in the area, that will let us sit in any section we want. And most of the servers are very rude, the only server that wasn’t rude was Nicole, she was always pleasant and accommodating . These places need to realize that they might not like their customers, but they need them in order to stay...
Read moreWaited to be seated for about 10 minutes, servers walked by about 30 times and said nothing, so I finally asked if we could seat ourselves and I was rudely told I can keep waiting. Situation would have been completely different if one server had said anything at all, like be with you in a second. It was just uncomfortable waiting forever to be seated and then receiving a short response when we're trying to be polite and patient, just not good service from the start, and so we left and found breakfast elsewhere. Hoping the service improves so we can give it a try, we'll keep watching...
