The saving grace of our visit was our server. She was wonderful!! We searched for a place that served breakfast all day and this came up. We walked in and saw sign on wall that said breakfast served all day. When we started to order breakfast we were told the cook said they weren't cooking breakfast anymore today. I wish I could have changed the rules anyplace I used to work. So, we started to order cheeseburger with tater tots and a catfish plate. Then told sorry the catfish is frozen and won't be thawed out for a while. OK, so then ordered mushroom Swiss burger with onion rings. When food finally came out the tots and onion rings were barely warmer than room temperature, and at least the burgers were hot. So, obviously the sides were cooked before the sandwiches. The burgers were definitely cooked through and through and extremely dry. The buns had much more moisture than the burgers. As a matter of fact the buns had so much grease on them I had to use 4 napkins just to get the grease off my hands. At the end of eating, we saw the whiteboard that listed fried pies. We started to ask about them, and the poor waitress gave us a look of anticipated sadness. She went into the kitchen and came back out and said there wasn't any fried pies because the cook didn't have any dough. This was around noon. Anyone that's been around a kitchen for any decent amount of time knows that fried pie dough could've been made earlier in the day with no problem, especially that when we walked in there was only 3 or 4 other tables and a couple of them were eating off the small lunch buffet. The waitress was AMAZING and constantly apologetic. I told her it wasn't her fault, she couldn't control what was going on in the kitchen. We did tell her, we wouldn't be returning. Any restaurant is entitled to a bad day - but all these errors in one day removed any possibility of...
Read moreThis was the second time coming here been trying to get up here for the buffet. First time got a salad with fried chicken because they didn't have turkey at the time which was pretty good for the price. Went today with a couple friends for the buffet today. Was disappointed it was cold in the building and I hate having to eat with a jacket on. Next we was told buffet would open at 11 we was about 10 minutes early which was fine. Then we are there till 15 after when someone tells the waitresses to take the lids off and turn on the lights for the buffet and salad bar. I was like it was there the entire time all they had to do was take the lids off. Had pork chops that's tasted funny had like BBQ sauce on them or something then you have what was said was goolash which to me wasn't that was macaroni noodles and hamburger meat. Carrots was underdone was crunchy potatoes was good friend was telling me they were homemade my tastbuds said that they were instant but you know I could be wrong on that cause I like either. Corn and rolls were both great as well. Price I paid bit pricey for getting 1 plate but I think I will stick...
Read moreHonestly wasnt talked to....had to get my own menu and finally got a waitress for a drink...then the buffet was good however only had a few items and costs a fortune! 13.99 on fridays for lunch?! Then I ordered fried chicken while my husband ate the buffet. It took almost a hour before I saw my food then I tasted it and chicken was dry?! Overcooked.. tasted plain and had zero chicken flavor.... politely asked my waitress to just take it off that I'd wait for the dessert and as I'm sitting there another lady comes out... I guess the manager... and asks what was wrong with the chicken so I explained it was dry and she cut me off and stated its chicken breast its suppose to be dry... as a cook it was horrifying to hear such a excuse and told her i couldnt chew it... and she said it was juicy when she cut it open.. so she contradicted her previous statement and when I went to counter she held up her hand in my face as to "shut me up" and walked away... completely unprofessional and felt as though she thinks it's ok to be disrespectful towards a customer.. needless to say we...
