We mainly do takeout here and I am glad we discovered this hidden gem! The only slight drawback is their customer service, answering the phone, however they are accurate and read it back to you prior to placement. Therefore, I’ll overlook the curt attitude.

They give you an estimated delivery time of 45 minutes, however we’ve received our food well before that timeframe, provided it’s not a peak time Friday or Saturday night then you can expect it within 45 minutes.

This time I ordered the eggplant parmigiana entree and I was PLEASANTLY surprised! The entree was made to perfection! Penne pasta was cooked al dente, the eggplant was not heavy nor greasy whatsoever and the gravy was just right and did not overpower at all. Just the right amount of cheese AND enough to make 2 meals out of it; a WIN WIN!

Included in the entree was a choice of soup or salad. I choose the salad, no dressing. A fresh assortment of mixed greens, no onions or croutons; in my opinion the way a salad should me. Also included was a garlic roll, another nice addition.

We also ordered a bacon pizza. Another perfect entree. Not greasy at all, the bacon topping was perfect! Slightly smoky in which gave it an fantastic flavor, not overpowering but just right.

Francescos Pizzeria a delicious secret of Newtown. The food is remarkable and priced very fair for the quality. No restaurant in the area compares to Francescos. I feel proud being a multi-year customer here and I will always return. My family and I order curbside take out about once a week from here. Besides the food, the safety precautions this restaurant takes due to COVID-19 is unlike any other. They make sure to put their customers safety FIRST. Francescos makes sure that safety is number by setting up a safety protocol outside of their restaurant. They have parking spots designated by letters to help with curbside pickup to avoid any unnecessary contact. I feel extremely safe purchasing food from here. Representatives from this restaurant always make sure they bring your food out while wearing gloves and double masks. Thank Gd this restaurant is taking Covid seriously. First time, last time. I have never in my life had sausage with zero flavor but today I did. The garlic Parmesan chicken again, had zero flavor, not even salt. No exaggeration…. I’ve eaten completely unseasoned chicken before that tasted better. Like what kind of cooking process extracts even the natural flavor from meat? They’ve obviously perfected a technique that isn’t used by many people yet, and hopefully that technique stays in this one establishment.

I only did takeout and the ordering process was easy, lady was nice, restaurant (from what I saw) was nice. BUT, I won’t be returning. I was thoroughly disappointed. I usually don’t buy lunch but I was literally starving, and even having not ate since yesterday morning, I ate 3 out of 12 wings and didn’t want anymore. The sausage went in the trash.
